Goodwood is famous throughout the world for its motorsports and horseracing and for the fantastic events held there throughout the year, including Goodwood Revival and the Festival of Speed. These events are absolutely packed with things to see and do, both on and off the two and a half mile historic racing circuit, hence they certainly pull a crowd.
Horseracing started at Goodwood in 1802 when it was introduced as an amusement for local army officers; since then it’s grown and grown and is now home to the Qatar Goodwood Festival, otherwise know as Glorious Goodwood. With a backdrop of beautiful West Sussex countryside that stretches on and on for miles, this is without doubt, one of the most picturesque racecourses in the world.
Goodwood also has an aerodrome and two 18 hole championship golf courses open to visitors and corporate groups.
