You can book with Exeter Laser Clays on the Escot Estate to do real clay pigeon shooting or laser clay shooting; the latter is proving to be very popular with families, hen parties and corporate groups, probably because of the advantages of five people being able to shoot at once, and of there being no recoil when you fire. You use a modified shotgun to fire an infra-red beam at real clays launched from real traps; when you pull the trigger there’s a shotgun bang and when you hit the clay you hear the sound of it breaking – very clever.
