Access Statement for Dancing Hills

Dancing Hill - Sleeps 12 in 6 bedrooms in what was formerly two farm workers cottages.


By train - The nearest train station is at Taunton, or Bridgewater.
By bus - Bus route 21.
By car - We have detailed directions by road on our website.
Taxi companies available.

Key Collection, Welcome and Car Parking

The key to the property is held in an external key safe next to the main entrance door. Details of the key safe combination will be given prior to arrival via your booking.
All keys are the responsibility of the rental guests and we advise that you always use the key safe during your stay.
All guests will be welcomed by a property manager and will be given a tour.
The parking area can accommodate 9 cars on a gravel drive and paved area from drive to front door with steps and well lit.

Entrance to Property

Step heights are 9 & 12cm, no ramp available.
The front door is 1m wide with tiled flooring and wall lights.

Halls, Stairs, Landings, Passageways

All halls, stairs, landings and passageways are well lit by ceiling spotlights.
The stairs have 3 child safety gates, one at the bottom and two at the top of the staircase.
All passageways are minimum width for wheelchair access.
All ground floor hallways have tiled floors, the hallway and landing areas on the first floor are carpeted.

Sitting Room/Lounge

There is a television with remote control and option for subtitles/audio description.
Log burner and TV.


Door to kitchen 81cm wide.
The kitchen area is large, tiled with down lighters.
Steps lead down to the large dining area which has vinyl tiled flooring, access to to shower room with door width 74cm.

Bedrooms and Sleeping Areas 

Bedrooms 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 have zip link double beds. Door widths vary from 72-82cm wide 

Bedroom 1: This is the largest bedroom, with the option of a super king or a twin bed. There's a fully tiled en suite shower room with a rainfall shower, and off to the right is the snug/ante-room where you have the option of a sofa bed as a Chargeable Extra. There is also a lockable door through to bedroom 2. 

Bedroom 2 is at the back of the house with far reaching views across to Bridgwater Bay, and can be either a super king or a twin room. It has use of the main bathroom and the ground floor shower room.

Bedroom 3 overlooks the front garden and can be a super king or a twin room. It shares the main bathroom just along the landing, and the ground floor shower room.

Bedroom 4 is a pretty double room with an outlook over the front garden and countryside beyond. It uses the family bathroom, which is next along the landing, and the ground floor shower room.

Bedroom 5 has the option of being a super king or a twin room. Behind a curtain is a door through to the snug/ante-room where you can have a single sofa bed, to be added as a chargeable extra once you have made your booking. Bedroom 5 has shared use of the main bathroom and the shower room on the ground floor.

Bedroom 6 is on the ground floor and has the option of being a super king or a twin room. It shares the main bathroom and the ground floor shower room.


Both large gardens with patio areas on 2 levels.
There is a table and patio chairs for 12 guests.

   - 4m SPA POOL 5.00m x 2.3m and 150cm depth with  2 steps to access pool.
