Crowcombe is a timber framed holiday lodge that has its own indoor pool and sleeps 14 in 6 ensuite bedrooms, with room for 1 more guest on a sofa bed on the mezzanine landing at a small extra charge.
3 of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, and 3 are on the first floor, accessed via an oak and glazed staircase.
By train - The nearest train station is at Taunton, approximately 8 miles distant. There are usually taxis available from the station.
By bus - The nearest bus station is at Taunton, approximately 8 miles away. You will need to catch the Route 18 bus, which runs every 30 minutes. The nearest bus stop to the property is at Severn Ash by the West Bagborough turning.
By car - You will find detailed directions by road on your Check In information after you have made a booking.
Groceries can be delivered from Tesco,Asda, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Morrisons.
Key Collection, Welcome and Car Parking
The key to the property is held in an external key safe next to the main entrance door. Details of the key safe combination will be given prior to arrival.
All keys are the responsibility of the rental guests and we advise that you always use the key safe during your stay.
All guests will be welcomed by a property manager and will be given a tour.
From the road there is a 50 metre track leading to a private car parking area. The parking area can accommodate 6 cars.
From the car parking area there is a level gravel drive through a gate, leading to a level paved area to the front door.
The paths are well lit at night by light sensor lights.
Entrance to Property
The main entrance door is 4ft wide, with level access into the property.
The internal areas are very well lit with ceiling lights and table lamps.
The ground floor is tiled throughout. The first floor has short pile carpets and wood flooring.
Halls, Stairs, Landings, Passageways
All halls, stairs, landings and passageways are well lit by ceiling spotlights.
The stairs are 3ft wide and are carpeted. There are 3 child safety gates - one at the bottom of the stairs and two at the top.
All ground floor hallways have tiled floors, the hallway and landing areas on the first floor are carpeted.
Access to the open plan lounge, dining and kitchen areas is via the main entrance.
The room measures 30ft x 20ft (9.23 x 6m)
The dining area has a table that seats 14 comfortably.
All areas are evenly lit with down lighters and lamps.
The floor surface is tiled and level throughout.
The lounge area has a mixture of chairs and sofas.
Furniture can be moved but on your departure it should be returned to its original position.
There is a television with remote control and options for subtitles/audio description.
The area is well lit during the day by natural light. At night there are ample downlighters.
The kitchen area is open plan through from the Lounge/Dining area on the ground floor
The room measures 6m x 3m
The floor is the same level from the Lounge/Dining area
The flooring is tiled throughout.
If required, high chairs will be left for you in the kitchen or dining area
Bedrooms and Sleeping Areas
All bedrooms have zip & link beds (these can be arranged as superkings or twins) and fitted carpets.
There are ceiling downlighters in all rooms.
Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor and measures 5.4m x 3.15m. It has an en suite shower room
Bedroom 2 is on the ground floor and measures 5.4m x 2.93m. It has an en suite shower room
Bedroom 3 is on the ground floor and measures 4.28 x 2.93m. It has an en suite bathroom.
Bedroom 4 is on the first floor and measures 3.6m x 6.9m. It has an en suite shower room.
Bedroom 5 is on the first floor and measures 3.6m x 4.8m. It has an en suite shower room.
Bedroom 6 is on the first floor and measures 3.6m x 4.85m . It has an en suite shower room.
The mezzanine area doubles up as a small games area with a pool table. There is also a sofa bed which can accommodate an extra guest at a small additional charge.
Garden size - 18m x 15m
There is a paved patio area which can be accessed from Bedroom 1 and from the lounge/dining area.
There is a lawned area and area with childrens play equipment.
There is a garden table and patio chairs for 14 guests.
Swimming Pool (NB: Children must be supervised at all times)
Access to the pool is through a set of double doors.
The area around the pool is a minimum width of 1.2m widening to 1.9m.
The pool is a constant depth of 1.2m measuring 8m x 4.5m. with a steps giving access.
