Coleridge Way, Somerset

Named in honour of the romantic poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge, this 51 mile walking trail starts at Nether Stowey where Coleridge lived and worked and where his cottage is now owned by the National Trust and is open to the public. Follow the trail through stunning countryside with breathtaking views, taking in peaceful villages and hamlets, dense woodlands, deep wooded valleys, rolling green pastures, and high open heaths and moors. There are plenty of village inns and charming tea shops en route where you can stop to refuel.
