Clockwatchers Coffee House and Bistro, Worcester, Worcestershire

You can sit in or takeaway at Clockwatchers Coffee House and Bistro in the heart of Worcester; it gets very good reviews either way and if you do want to go in and sit down, don’t be fooled by how small it looks from outside because there are more tables upstairs and in the conservatory out the back. It’s more of a café than a bistro really as they close at four o’clock (five on Saturdays), so go for breakfast, lunch or tea and cake – the good homemade variety. Staff are friendly and helpful, food seems to be consistently good whether you want something simple like a cheese and pickle or tuna mayonnaise sandwich, a bowl of pea, basil and coconut soup, or a flatbread pizza.
Clockwatchers is a good one for families and it’s dog friendly, but to be honest, if there’s a big group of you it might be a bit of a squeeze so perhaps give them a call to see if they can reserve a table for you.
