Chedworth Roman Villa, Cheltenham, Gloucester

Go and explore the remains of one of the finest Roman Villas in Britain, lying in the quiet of a beautiful Cotswold valley. See the mosaic floors, hypocaust systems, bath house rooms and Nymphaeum Water Shrine; in the museum you’ll find a collection of artefacts found on the site. Definitely one for lovers of history and a good place for families to visit as there are children’s trails, activities and events during the school holidays, but even better are the dressing up baskets. If you’ve got time do the woodland trail behind the main site; find the treasure boxes and enjoy the views. As is usual for the National Trust there's a cafe for refreshments and a shop where you can buy souvenirs.

Opening times vary throughout the year so please check before you go.
