Carnaby Street, London

Just a stone’s throw from Oxford Street and Regent Street, Carnaby Street in London is the home of cool, where back in the 60’s all the shakers and movers hung out; over the year mods, skinhead, punks, and new romantics made it their stomping ground, giving it the hip and happening reputation it still has. It’s actually part of the pedestrianised Carnaby shopping area which has 14 streets in all, with over 150 shops and 50+ places to eat. What you’ll find is an eclectic mix of independent fashion and lifestyle retailers, some of them selling things you’d be pushed to find anywhere else in the country; whilst you’re here check out Kingly Court and the Newburgh Quarter, and go on, stand beneath that iconic arch and have your pic taken.
