Bincombe Beeches, Crewkerne, Somerset
This local nature reserve is comprised of woodland, scrub and meadow on the edge of town, with far reaching views across the countryside of South Somerset. It’s a haven for wildlife with a number of badger setts, and it’s a good place for bird watching with several species spotted here including green and great spotted woodpeckers, tree creepers, nuthatch and chiffchaff. Sunken lanes, ancient beech trees, bluebells; a good stroll anytime of year.
