The House
Step in through the porch and a wealth of character greets you; high ceilings, original floorboards and flagstones, stripped pine doors, wooden panelling and period sash windows with shutters. At the bottom of the stairs is a utility room, along the hallway on the right is the living room with an open fireplace - lovely for after a wintry walk in the lanes.
Left of the hall is the dining room where a bespoke rustic dining table extends to seat 18 people (21 at a push). Next is the farmhouse kitchen, with original flagstone floor, oak beams and a double Butler sink. A huge inglenook houses a 4 oven electric Aga, a separate electric oven and a halogen hob. Go through to the games room where a door opens to the courtyard and the sauna and pool house.
Stairs rise from the hallway to Bedrooms 2-5. Behind a latch and brace door in the kitchen a second staircase leads to Bedrooms 1 and 6.
Off the courtyard at the back of the house are Bedrooms 7 and 8, the sauna and pool house. At the side of the house there’s a garden with outdoor seating, a barbecue and ground level hot tub, at the front is a large walled garden with lawns and a play area.
