What time can I arrive at the property?
Arrival time is 4pm. We can not let you arrive earlier than this as the cleaning and maintenance teams may well be still preparing the properties for your stay. If you think you may arrive later than 4pm then please contact the owner/housekeeper on the number you have been given in your check in details. These are available to you on the My Booking section of the sleeps12 homepage about 4 weeks before arrival. You'll also be notified of this via an automated email.
What time should we leave the property?
Departure time for Jurston Barn is 10am. Please ensure that you are packed and ready to leave before this as we will need to access the property at 10am. The cleaning and maintenance teams require the full 6 hours between bookings to prepare the house for the next guests.
What is the address of this property?
The address can be found on the property pages, including a postcode. Please follow the directions given in the My Booking section as these have been specifically prepared for you. You may also like to give these directions to all members of your party! You can log into the My Booking section and view all of your booking details via the sleeps12 homepage. Please do not just rely on SatNav as the property is in a rural location and can occassionally direct you down unsuitable roads.
We think we may like to leave home early to avoid traffic on the M5. IS there somewhere nearby to stop for a bite to eat or even a look around some shops?
Jurston Barn is on the outskirts of Wellington, Somerset and is great for a browse of small independent shops. There are also a few pubs and cafes that you might like to try including a Weatherspoons that welcomes children.
How do we access the property when we arrive?
You will have been given the code to access the property in your check in information if the property is not already open. You will have been emailed a link to this about 4 weeks before arrival. You can also access this from the My Booking section of the sleeps12 website. This information also contains the contact details for the owner or housekeeper, please ensure that you call them if you are running late because they will come and show you around the property once you have arrived.
Does this property require a cautionary deposit?
This property owner may require a cautionary deposit of up to £500 three weeks before your arrival. They will contact you directly to arrange this. More details about cautionary deposits can be found on this link.
We are thinking of inviting people over for the day is this allowed at your property?
Unfortunately this is not allowed at any of the sleeps12 properties. This is clearly set out in the Terms and Conditions that should have ben read at the time of booking. There is a maximum occupancy for each property that must not be exceeded for insurance purposes and every person who is a guest at the property must be added to the booking including their names and ages. If you think you may have invited people to visit then you must call the office so that relevant permissions can be obtained from the owners of the property. This is due to health and safety regulations as well as insurances.
What is supplied for us in the property?
Enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for meals and/or a dinner party, at least 2 toilet rolls per toilet, Salt and Pepper, Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Washing Up Liquid, Dishwasher Tablets, Tea Towels, Dish Cloth and Scourer Sponge, Oven Gloves, Kitchen Roll, Kitchen Foil, Cling Film, Bin Bags, Washing machine tablets, Hand Soap, Welcome pack of Shower Gel, Shampoo and Bath Soak, All bed linen, cot mattress sheets, bath robes, bath towels and hand towels are supplied - WE RECOMMEND BRINGING EXTRA TOWELS FOR THE SWIMMING POOL AND HOT-TUB ALSO CROCS OR FLIP FLOPS TO CROSS THE LAWN TO THE POOL AND FOOT WEAR (FLIP FLOPS) FOR GOING OUT TO THE POOL
How should we leave the property after our stay?
It is important that your departure is before or no later than 10am.
We expect all rubbish and recycling to be left in the bin area allocated for this.
All washing up from your stay should have been done and put away, with the dishwashers loaded with the final load and then turned on before you leave.
The kitchen table and kitchen surfaces to be wiped down.
Any spillages to be cleaned up during your stay.
Please check all the rooms, including the swimming pool, utility, bedrooms etc. to check that nothing is being left behind.
If any furniture has been moved during your stay, please return to its original position (except baby and toddler equipment).
We do not expect any beds to be stripped and all towels etc can be left in the bathrooms.
If the banquet cloths and napkins are used please leave these in the utility area, these are sent off to laundry so no need to wash unless you wish to re-use them during your stay.
Is there SKY TV at Jurston Barn?
Yes there is SKY TV at Jurston. The full SKY package is available.
I notice that there is a wood burner, are the logs for this provided?
Yes, logs are provided in winter months for the wood burner. Please bring your own matches for lighting as these are not provided.
Is there a docking station at the property?
Yes there is a docking station for iPods in the kitchen area of the property. Please bring any adaptors that you might need.
How big is the swimming pool at Jurston barn?
The pool at Jurston Barn is 10m in length. There is a changing area and shower area in the same building for your convenience.
Are hen and stag parties allowed at this property?
Yes well behaved hen and stag parties are allowed at Jurston Barn. Consideration is needed for neighbouring proeprties and noise should be kept to a minimum. This property is suitable for those hen and stag groups that are looking for quiet, relaxing accommodation. Jurston Barn is not a party house! If you have any questions or would like to discuss your requirements then please do contact the office.
Is this property dog friendly?
Unfortunately not, no dogs are allowed at Jurston Barn. There are many more lovely properties that do allow dogs that may take your fancy. Do have a look on this link for more details.
We have several young children is Jurston Barn suitable for them too?
Jurston Barn is great for children. There is a games room, play equipment in the garden and of course the pool! The garden is secure too. There are also 2 cots and 2 toddler beds available, please request these when you complete your bedroom configurations. They also provide two high chairs.
Is there a BBQ at Jurston Barn?
Yes there is a gas BBQ at Jurston Barn which is available all year round. The gas for this is supplied.
How do we book EXTRAS that are listed on the website?
