Long Man Brewery, Litlington, Polegate, East Sussex

Historic flint walled farm buildings have been lovingly restored to house the Longman Brewery, just a few miles from Polegate in the South Downs National Park. Environmental sustainability lies at the heart of their ethos, with beers brewed using barley grown on site; they work to regenerative principles keeping step with nature’s cycles and biodiversity. This keeps carbon locked in, maintains a healthy worm population and prepares the soils for growing the barley. The brewhouse is solar powered, waste water is used for irrigation and spent grain is fed to the animals, so a big green tick all round.

They produce cask ales, keg and small batch ales at Longman Brewery, including India pale ale, Premium golden ale and Best bitter. You can find out how it’s done on a Brewery Tour which includes a tasting session and in-store discounts, or you can enjoy a pint in the Brewery Shop & Tap Room.
