We chose it because it’s so apt for this supersize group accommodation; a boon is a bonus and that’s exactly what this is because it isn’t just any old holiday house – it’s actually quite extraordinary. 10 bedrooms have snooze space for 20 guests and there’s room for up to 10 more at an extra charge per person; interiors are snazzy and colourful, there’s a games area, and the icing on the cake - a fabulous spa hall with a pool, hot tub and sauna. Outside there’s an all-weather lawn, a barbecue island, plenty of outdoor seating, and for cocktails at sunset, a roof terrace with views over the countryside.
We honestly think you’ll be so content at Boon Barn that going out will be the last thing on your mind. But, should you feel the need to explore, to see what’s around, you ought to find something to suit you. Maybe a town to browse, like eclectic Frome where the vintage/retro vibe is high; or maybe the Georgian elegance of Bath with its myriad attractions. For days out with the kids, you only need go down the road to Longleat for attractions, activities, and the world-famous drive through safari park. Other than that there are countless country pubs nearby, historic houses and wonderful walks.
