We're bursting to tell you about the amazing spa facilities at Walnut Arbour! It's got the lot - a fantastic spa hall with a heated pool and the very indulgent luxury of a steam room, plus a big outdoor covered hot tub amidst the cottage garden flowers, and a quirky barrel sauna that's tucked away in a secret courtyard. Hard to beat for relaxing spa breaks, and the house is an absolute gem too - step into the hall and off to the right is the L-shaped kitchen-diner; a very sociable space with a sturdy wooden table where you can all sit together for a celebration lunch, and sofas to chill out on, and a lovely view of the hill rising across the lane.
The kitchen is light and airy, with Shaker style units, a double electric oven, 6 induction ring hob, dishwasher, washing machine, and a big fridge-freezer with integral ice-maker. A stable door leads out to the garden, or just leave the top of it open on warm days and let the fresh air and bird song drift in.
The mixed slate floor continues through to the colourful sitting room; smartly furnished in a contemporary style with bold splashes of vibrant turquoise, a widescreen TV, and plenty of chairs and sofas so you can all gather together to watch an action packed movie or catch the latest big match. Walnut Arbour has central heating throughout but if you feel the need for a bit of extra warmth or just a cosy glow on colder days you can light the little woodburning stove in this room.
Off the sitting room is a hallway leading round to Bedroom 6 where a day bed in provides extra snooze space (charged extra). Opposite this room are steps up to Bedroom 5 and to a small lobby with access to an enclosed walled garden. These rooms both have use of a good sized bathroom, with a bigwalk in shower. All but one bedroom at the property have zip and link beds that can be arranged as superkings or twins, according to your requirements, and all have Freeview TV.
From the main hall a staircase rises to a landing; with three further steps to each side; right down the end off to the right is Bedroom 1, with a pine superking bed and an ensuite shower room with a big corner shower. Just along the landing, Bedroom 2 has zip and link beds and also has the luxury of an ensuite shower room. A nice feature of these bedrooms is the vaulted, painted ceilings, giving a fresh, light and airy, slightly New England feel; all the bedrooms have a pleasant outlook over the gardens, with the countryside and the hamlet beyond; it's such a rural idyll. Next to Bedroom 2 is a spacious family bathroom, also accessed from Bedroom 3.
To the left from the top of the stairs are Bedrooms 3 and 4. Bedroom 4 again has the option of an additional bed at an extra charge; Bedroom 3 has direct access to the family bathroom. The decor in all bedrooms is modern, calm and neutral with well co-ordinated accessories.
The games room, although attached to the house, is accessed from the garden (literally just a few yards); it's a light flooded room with floor to ceiling windows on one side. Play pool or table football, curl up on the commodious L-shaped sofa to watch a movie on the big screen TV, or plug in a console and away you go. Hours of entertainment for kids of all ages!
Through the games room is that fabulous spa hall, and like we said, it's got the lot, and you'll feel like you're at a top notch spa when you see the pool and the steam room. Walnut Arbour takes pampering to new dimensions; you can't fail to feel anything but relaxed when you're here.
Just outside of the house is a pretty gravelled patio area with garden furniture and a barbecue for those wonderful sunny days when eating alfresco is such a pleasure. A passion flower scrambles up the wall, cottage garden flowers bring a riot of colour, spilling over the walls from the flower beds, bees buzz about collecting pollen, butterflies lazily flit; it's bliss. Get some steaks sizzling on the rack and whilst the designated chef takes care of that side of things, slip into the bubbly hot tub beneath the arbour, or through the gate to a secret courtyard to the barrel sauna. The young 'uns will be happy as crickets playing on the swings in the enclosed walled garden, so everyone will be content and that's just what holidays are all about.
