What time can I arrive at the property?

Arrival time is 4pm. We can not let you arrive earlier than this as the cleaning and maintenance teams may well be still preparing the properties for your stay. If you think you may arrive later than 4pm then please contact the owner/housekeeper on the number you have been given in your check in details. These are available to you on the My Booking section of the sleeps12 homepage about 4 weeks before arrival. You'll also be notified of this via an automated email. 

What is the address of this property?

The address can be found on the property pages, including a postcode. Please follow the directions given in the My Booking section as these have been specifically prepared for you. You may also like to give these directions to all members of your party!

We are thinking of visiting a few places on the way so that we don't arrive to early. Can you recommend somewhere for us to visit and also somewhere we may like to go for lunch?

That sounds like a great idea and there is lots to do in the surrounding areas, Exploring Gloucestershire is always a lot of fun. Our links may give you some ideas also the Things to Do section of the Viney Hill page will help you find some places to visit. How do we access the property when we arrive?

You will have been given the code to access the property in your check in information. You will have been emailed a link to this about 4 weeks before arrival. You can also access this from the My Booking section of the sleeps12 website. This information also contains the contact details for the owner or housekeeper, please ensure that you call them if you are running late because they will come and show you around the property once you have arrived. 

Does this property require a cautionary deposit?

This property owner may require a cautionary deposit of up to £500 three weeks before your arrival. They will contact you directly to arrange this. More details about cautionary deposits can be found on this link.

We are thinking of inviting people over for the day is this allowed at your property?

Unfortunately this is not allowed at any of the sleeps12 properties. This is clearly set out in the Terms and Conditions that should have ben read at the time of booking. There is a maximum occupancy for each property that must not be exceeded for insurance purposes and every person who is a guest at the property must be added to the booking including their names and ages. If you think you may have invited people to visit then you must call the office so that relevant permissions can be obtained from the owners of the property. This is due to health and safety regulations as well as insurances. 

What can we find supplied for us in the property?

There is enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for a dinner party, 1 - 2 toilet rolls per toilet depending on length of stay, Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Washing Up Liquid, Dishwasher Tablets x 6, Tea Towels, Dish Cloth and Scourer, Bin Bags, All bed linen, cot mattress bottom sheets, bath towels and hand towels and robes are supplied - WE RECOMMEND BRINGING EXTRA TOWELS FOR THE SWIMMING POOL AND FOOT WEAR (FLIP FLOPS) FOR GOING OUT TO THE POOL.

Does this property allow two night breaks?

Unfortunately weekend breaks are for three nights Friday 4pm - Monday 10 am. If you only wanted to stay for two nights then you would be able to check out at any time on the Sunday but the price for the stay would remain the same as a three night break. 

Can I have a food delivery to the property?

Yes you can arrage to have a food delivery to the property on your arrival or during your stay. We ask that delivery slots are made for after the arrival time of 4pm and that you are there to receive the delivery personally. We recommend that you ensure that you put your mobile number and name on the delivery information. The following shops will deliver to this property: Asda, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tesco.

What time should we leave the property?

Whilst the majority of stays run smoothly and without incident we are duty bound to advise of examples of charges we may make if need be. Please note that further action could be taken to recover any additional costs if required. Sadly for us the examples given below are experiences we have had and appreciate that they may not be applicable to your party.

  • Our contracted service arrangements require that all guests vacate the property by 10am (latest), EXCEPT 2 night breaks, departure time is 4pm Sunday, on the scheduled booking departure date in order to prepare the property for the next group of guests. Delayed departure will be charged at £80 for (up to 1 hour) and £100 for every additional hour thereafter.
  • For excessive or additional cleaning, minimum charge £60 (up to 1 hour) and £60 for every additional hour, plus any special materials required. Broken, damaged, or missing items are charged at replacement costs plus administration.
  • Please ensure you provide adequate mattress protection for your children or as required. Any bed/linen cleaning or making good will be charged at the owners discretion. The owner reserves the right to charge or deduct the replacement cost of any soiled mattress, including carriage and administration.
  • We accept no responsibility for items left/lost by guests. We can arrange to return any items that are found after being left on the premises at our minimum fee of £12 to cover the cost of postage, packaging and administration.
  • We operate a no smoking policy throughout the property, including the swimming pool enclosure, any infringement will be charged at £80 per room or affected area.

How should we leave the property at the end of our stay?

It is important that your departure is before or no later than 10am.
We expect all rubbish and recycling to be left in the bin area allocated for this.
All washing up from your stay should have been done and put away, with the dishwasher loaded with the final load and then turned on before you leave.
The kitchen table and kitchen surfaces to be wiped down.
Any spillages to be cleaned up during your stay.
Please check all the rooms, including the swimming pool, utility, bedrooms etc. to check that nothing is being left behind.
If any furniture has been moved during your stay, please return to its original position (except baby and toddler equipment).
We do not expect any beds to be stripped and all towels etc can be left in the bathrooms.
We have found that owners are more understanding if any damage is notified to the owner ASAP.

Is there a swimming pool at Viney Hill?

Yes there is a large swimming pool at this property measuring 10x5 metres. Please ensure that all guests are made aware of the Booking Terms and Conditions including restrictions for using the swimming pool and pool the house. For health and safety purposes swimming is only allowed in daylight hours. Please bring your own towels for the pool, as well as flip flops for walking between the house and the pool.

Are dogs allowed at Viney Hill?

Yes dogs are allowed at this property. Please ensure that you read all of the dog rules before making a booking. The property is in The Forest of Dean and so are must be taken to ensure that dogs do not enter the Forest without a lead.

All dogs must be booked in and paid for. A maximum of two dogs charged at £50 can be added to the booking by logging into the My Booking section of the sleeps12 homepage or do call the office and we can take details of the dogs over the phone.

Is there a BBQ at this property?

Yes there is a BBQ and it requires charcoal which guests must provide themselves. There is also a BBQ lodge which takes charocal.

Is there a coffee machine at Viney Hill?

There is a Dolce Gusto Coffee machine for your use - please bring your own coffee pods if you decide that you would like to use it.

Is there WiFi at Viney Hill?

There is WiFi at the property but please be aware that Viney Hill is in a rural location and so the speeds may not be as quick as you are used to. More information can be found here. We would recommend that you download anything that you might need before your stay to avoid being disappointed.

Is there SKY TV at  Viney Hill?

Yes there is a full SKY TV package in the lounge area of the property.

How do we book EXTRAS that are listed on the website?

It is great that you are looking to further enhance your stay while in this property! Thank you for using one of our recommended suppliers that we have mentioned in our EXTRAS for the property. Please contact them and arrange this. Once it has been arranged you will need to let us know by email or phone call who you have booked, when they are coming and how many people there will be. Does this property accept Hen or Stag parties?

Yes this house will accept Hen Parties. Please note that this is not a party house, it welcomes quiet relaxed hen groups looking to have a chilled out weekend with great facilities.
