Well, what a great place for a hen weekend; not the deeley-bopper, pushing the bride to be round in a shopping trolley kind of thing but a few days that are altogether more sophisticated, more upmarket. It's a big house, with 11 en suite bedrooms to sleep up to 27 people and room for 2 more at an additional charge per person. Most of the beds are zip and link so you can have them arranged as superkings or twins, it's up to you.

There's no shortgage of things to do near The Plough whether you want exciting activities or days out; there's a very nice spa not far away, Lucknam Park, where you can have lunch in the Brasserie or afternoon tea on the terrace. You could have a tour of Quoins Organic Vineyard and sample the wares, go for a leisurely trip along the Kennet & Avon Canal on a narrow boat, or head into Bath for a day spent shopping or visiting the abbey, or some of the galleries and museums - the American Museum and the Fashion Museum are both very good.

We appreciate that cooking for such a large group isn't without it's stresses but you'll find the kitchen is very well equipped and there's plenty of room for socialising whilst you all muck in and prepare a meal; otherwise hire one of our recommended caterers and let them come in and create a delicious feast or serve you cocktails and canapes on the patio. Make an evening of it, play croquet on the lawn, have soak in the hot tub

Otherwise, go out to eat; there are plenty of excellent places nearby. Thai Barn and the Bunch of Grapes are very good; Ravello serves top notch Italian fare, and just a few miles away is a lovely riverside pub, Cross Guns. It's the perfect opportunity to get together with your leading ladies and raise a few glasses to a life of long and happy wedded bliss. Book now for a hen weekend to remember at The Plough.
