Riverside welcomes two well behaved dogs so no need to leave your furry friend behind when you come for your UK holiday or group stay. Your pet pooch can join in all the fun, with lots of gorgeous walks amidst beautiful countryside right from your doorstep.

Get up early and stroll along the River Tone at the back of the house. Riverside is on the Somerset Levels where there are plenty of walks through the fields, along the rhynes (pronounced REENS) and old drover's tracks - there's something very special about treading the old ways of the people who worked this land in days gone by, whilst your dog bounds happily ahead of you.

There are some charming village pubs in this area and most are dog friendly, so if you fancy winding up at a country inn for a pint of the local brew or a lazy lunch, your four legged friend can come too. Wander along the riverbank to the King Alfred Inn at Burrowbridge, or to the Bird in Hand at North Curry. Further away are the Blackdown Hills with a network of footpaths and bridle ways to explore, or if you go to Glastonbury you and your pet can climb the famous Tor to be rewarded with panoramic views of the Somerset countryside and beyond.

The beaches of the Somerset and Jurassic coasts are also within easy reach, and though some have seasonal restrictions, several are dog friendly year round, so your mutt can happily splash in the sea before heading home for a game of fetch in the garden, and perhaps some scraps from your barbecue.

Note: Two dogs are welcome at this property and must be added when you are making your booking. A charge of £50 per dog will then be applied to the booking total.
