If you're planning a seriously big hen weekend away, Ramscombe and Cockercombe are perfect; these two luxury lodges sleep 28 people in 12 en suite bedrooms. They're spacious, modern and well equipped, with games rooms, two heated indoor pools, and plenty of room on the patios for sunbathing, lunch alfresco, or even dancing!

Nestled at the foot of the gorgeous Quantock Hills in Somerset, there's ample opportunity for getting outdoors with your hens but it's entirely up to you how you choose to explore; some people like to go walking, some prefer cycling and some have the most fabulous time taking in the wonderful scenery on horse back with Quantock Trekking - they do rides for hen parties rounded off with afternoon tea with prosecco. If you want to go to the coast you can have some good old fashioned seaside fun at Weston-Super-Mare or Minehead on the Somerset Coast, but for something a bit more sedate go to Watchet or Blue Anchor, and for a charming experience, go by steam train on the West Somerset Railway. Over on the Jurassic Coast you can book up a mackerel fishing trip from Lyme Regis or Beer; now there's something different...

Of course, you don't have to go anywhere, you can have the fun brought to you; check out our Extras page and you'll find all sorts of activities. Get your gorgeous girls together for a Crafty Hen workshop, making garters and corsages, or customising knickers! Dress up in berets and false moustaches and be prepared for a lot of cheeky banter in a life drawing class, or get those hips wiggling for a belly dancing lesson. Book one of our recommended mobile beauty therapists to come and make your hens feel preened and pampered. There's hours of fun for you and your group of girls, whether it's pink and sparkly glitz or refined tea and chit chat; get our specialist portrait photographer in to capture those happy moments.

You'll probably want to go out to eat together, for lunch or dinner; some of the pubs within just a few miles are very good - the Rising Sun at West Bagborough, the Farmers Arms at Combe Florey  and the Blue Ball Inn at Triscombe are the nearest, with the Lethbridge Arms at Bishops Lydeard, and the Carew Arms at Crowcombe a few miles further. A very short drive away there's an excellent restaurant, Podshaver's Barn, or in Wiveliscombe there's quirky Duende, which is well worth the drive. If you want to eat at home we appreciate that cooking a celebratory feast for that many people can be a chore, so take the stress out of it by bringing in one of our tried and tested local caterers - you'll be amazed at how they effortlessly put together a lavish dinner and even clear away afterwards, leaving you and your hens to enjoy every minute of it. So open the fizz, put on your dancing shoes and get ready to party! Book up a cocktail class, get shaking your mojitos and sipping your molokos; you might even choose to have them served by a saucy Butler in the Buff!

You'll have a wonderful hen weekend at Ramscombe and Cockercombe, so get your tremendous troop together, pack your glad rags and head for the West Country.
