No one gets left behind when you go to Jurston Barn for your large group holidays or weekends away - even your favourite furry friend gets to come along too. Being in Somerset, there's no shortage of glorious countryside and you won't have to go far to find walks that both dogs and humans will enjoy. Just the other side of Wellington you can stroll up the hill and through the beech woods to Wellington Monument where the views across the landscape are absolutely staggering.

Head up into the Blackdown Hills AONB for a good explore and you'll have a choice of places where you can stop and stretch your legs. Plan it well and you can tie it in with a picnic or lunch at a country pub; a climb up to Culm Beacon followed by a visit to The Cullm Valley Inn at Culmstock, a walk around Castle Neroche or Staple Hill rounded off with a bite to eat at The Greyhound Inn at Staple Fitzpaine, or an amble around the tranquil Otterhead Lakes local nature reserve and then refreshments at The Holman Clavel a few miles up the road. Just a short drive away in Tiverton you can stroll long the towpath of the Grand Western Canal and then head back to the Canal Tea Rooms & Garden for homemade scones with jam and cream.

You could venture for a day out discovering the wildness and the beauty of the Quantock Hills where you can wander the bracken-clad heaths and sun dappled combes just like the romantic poets, Wordsworth and Coleridge did many moons ago. Holford Combe and Hodders Combe are gorgeous, and for views that reach across to Wales on a clear day there's Cothelstone Hill and Wills Neck. The Quantocks have a dramatic coastline with windswept beaches, waterfalls and fossils; Kilve is great and just up the lane is The Chantry Tea Gardens. Equally inspiring is Exmoor National Park where walks along the river at Watersmeet or up the wooded cliff path to tiny Culbone Church are a joy.
