These Frequently Asked Questions may be useful when planning your stay at Holemoor Stables: 

What time can I arrive at the property?

The check in time for Holemoor Stables is 4pm. Unfortunately, it's not possible for you to arrive earlier than this as we will be busy preparing the property for your stay. If you think you might be earlier then why not stop off at one of the recommended pubs (see below) or visit the nearby towns of Ilminster or Taunton

How do I find the property?

There are comprehensive directions provided in the My Booking section. Once you have made a booking you'll be able to access this from the Sleeps12 homepage. We recommend that you use these instructions rather than Sat Nav as this can sometimes take you past the turning for the property. It's also a good idea to give these directions to all members of your group.

Does this property require a cautionary deposit?

This property owner may require a cautionary deposit of up to £500 three weeks before your arrival. They will contact you directly to arrange this. More details about cautionary deposits can be found on this link.

How do we access the property on the day of our stay?

Your check-in details are available to view about 4 weeks before arrival and can be found in the My Booking section of the Sleeps12 website, which you can access after you've made a booking with us, or by using the link from our emails. You'll find the owner's contact details so that you can call them and let them know if you are going to be later than 4pm, as well as any necessary key codes. 

What time should we depart from Holemoor Stables?

Departure time is no later than 10am, with the exception of a 2 night weekend break, when you must leave by 4pm on Sunday. It's important that you leave the promptly by the stated time, otherwise you risk being charged for extra time in the property or having some, and possibly all, of your cautionary deposit held rather than being returned.

Does this property allow two night stays?

Yes, Holemoor Stables offers two night weekend breaks, from 4pm on Friday to 4pm on Sunday.

We are thinking of inviting people over for the day  - is this allowed at your property?

Unfortunately this is not allowed at any of the Sleeps12 properties. This is clearly set out in the Terms and Conditions that we ask you to read at the time of booking. There is a maximum occupancy for each property that must not be exceeded due to health & safety and insurance legislation, so every person who is a guest at the property must be added to the booking including their names and ages. If you have invited people to visit then you must call our office so that  we can seek relevant permissions the owners of the property. 

Can I have a food delivery to the property?

You can arrange to have groceries delivery to the property on your arrival or during your stay. We ask that delivery slots are made for after the arrival time of 4pm and that you are there to receive the delivery personally. We recommend that you put your mobile number and name on the delivery information. The following shops will deliver to this property: Asda, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tesco and COOK.

Are there any local pubs that we could stop at on the way or visit while we are staying at this property?

Try the Five Dials at Horton, just over 4 miles away, or the New Inn at Dowlish Wake - a pretty little village with a cider mill, also about 4 miles away. The Haymaker Inn at Wadeford is gaining a good reputation and is just a couple of miles up the road. Monks Yard (cafeteria style) is also good, or stop at Hornsbury Mill just down the road for a bite to eat and a stroll around the lake. 

What can we find supplied for us at the property?

There is enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for a dinner party, at least 1 toilet roll per toilet, salt and pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, washing-up-liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, dish cloth and scourer sponge, oven gloves, kitchen roll, kitchen foil, cling film, bin bags, 2 in 1 washing tablets, hand soap, welcome pack of shower gel, shampoo, hand soap and body lotion, hair dryers in all bedrooms, all bed linen, cot mattress sheets, bath robes, bath towels and hand towels are supplied. NB: Please bring your own towels for the swimming pool and suitable footwear, such as flip flops, for going to and from the pool. 

How should we leave the property when we depart?

We expect the property to be left as clean and tidy as you found it, so please note the following:

  • All rubbish should be bagged up and left outside the front of the property
  • All washing-up up from your stay should have been done and put away. It's okay for the dishwasher to be turned on with your final load before you leave
  • The kitchen table and kitchen surfaces should be wiped clean
  • Any spillages must be cleaned up
  • Have a final check of all rooms to ensure that nothing is left behind.
  • Any furniture that has been moved during your stay should be returned to its original position.
  • We do not expect beds to be stripped and all towels, etc. can be left in bathrooms
  • Please notify us or the owners of any damage asap - people tend to be more understanding that way
  • Please let us know if you find anything at the property is broken or not working as it should be

Is there a BBQ at Holemoor Stables?

There is a charcoal BBQ at Holemoor Stables, but please note that charcoal is not provided.

Is there a music system at Holemoor Stables?

There is a Blue Ray player at Holemoor Stables. A USB connection is needed to play music via your iPod or phones - you will need to bring this with you. 

Is there WiFi at the property?

There is WiFi at the property but please be aware that Holemoor Stables is in a rural location and so the speed may not be as quick as you are used to. More information can be found here. We would recommend that you download anything that you might need before your stay to avoid being disappointed. 

We have young children in our group - are there any toddler beds or cots that we could use?

Holemoor Stables has 2 toddler beds suitable for children under 4 years of age, and 2 cots. These must be requested when you complete your bedroom configurations, but note that we do not recommend Bedrooms 4 or 6 for toddler beds and cots.

Is this property dog friendly?

Regrettably, Holemoor Stables does not allow dogs. 

Are hen parties and stag parties allowed here? 

We do accept responsible hen and stag groups. Our properties are not designed to be party houses so would suit a more refined hen or stag group looking for luxury accommodation with plenty of facilities. Please ensure that you read all of the Terms and Conditions for this property before making your decision as to whether or not this property is suitable for you. Note that there must be no outside noise or music after 11pm.

How big is the swimming pool at Holemoor Stables?

The pool is 10m x 5m with a constant depth of 1.2m.

There is a games room at Holemoor Stables - what games are there?

There is indeed a lovely games rooms, with a pool table, a table football and a table tennis table.

Is there an ice maker in the fridge at Holemoor Stables?

There is a stand alone ice machine which produces lots of ice.  

How do we book EXTRAS that are listed on the website?

We are delighted that you are thinking of booking one of our treid and tested suppliers/services. You'll need to contact them directly to make the arrangements and then please let us know by email or phone who you have booked, when they are coming and how many people there will be. We need this information for insurance purposes.
