The good thing about Hill View for all you dog lovers is that you can bring the family pooch on your holiday or short break in Devon, so no need for kennels or dogsitters – pack the bowl and the lead and the favourite toys, and of course the poo bags, and come on down to Hill View for a stay in this amazing dog friendly large group holiday house.

Of course, you’re in the West Country here, right out in the sticks in the glorious East Devon countryside – softly tumbling hills dotted with little copses and cottages, and the World Heritage Site Jurassic Coast is only a ten minute drive away so there’s no shortage of walks for your mutt. Go and explore right from the doorstep, wander the lanes and footpaths, get deep into that gorgeous sylvanian landscape where all the hustle and bustle of life seems a world away. Pick up the East Devon Way and go as far as you like, or go up to Blackbury Camp – heaven in the springtime when the bluebells are out. Go down to Beer and walk over the clifftops to Branscombe, or go to Seaton where there are dog friendly beaches in the town and at Axmouth Harbour.

Most of the pubs around these parts don’t mind furry friends coming in, and several will have a jar of biscuits on the bar and a bowl of water outside. Walk down to Colyton and go to The Kingfisher, or after a stroll along the Axe estuary The Harbour is nice, as is The Anchor at Beer where you can sit in the garden on the clifftop and watch the sunset, pint in hand, man’s best friend at your feet. Sometimes the simple things in life really are the best.
