Have a very different kind of corporate break at Ham Bottom; tucked away in a peaceful private setting in a picturesque valley in the Somerset countryside, it's ideal for hospitality, rewards or team building. The lodge sleeps up to 14 guests and beds are all zip and link so you can have them arranged as twins or superkings; it's up to you. All bedrooms are en suite, there's plenty of space and all the facilities you need to keep your guests relaxed and entertained - a games room, indoor pool, sauna, hot tub and Nordic style BBQ lodge, and of course, those two acres for grounds are perfect for team building activities. You can pull back the huge bi-fold doors and step out onto the patio for canapes and drinks, and we've even got caterering contacts that we can highly recommend to come in and provide you with whatever you want from cocktails and nibbles to a feast fit for a king.
If you want to book up activities for in-house amusement take a look at our Extras page and you'll find heaps of inspiration, from drawing lessons to cup cake decorating, and pottery painting to funfilled dance classes. Of course, being in beautiful Somerset, there are plenty of opportunities for off site activities too; the glorious Quantock Hills aren't far away and shouldn't be missed; take your group there for cycling, walking, orienteering, or explore the hills on horseback with Quantock Trekking. Exmoor National Park is close by too and offers the same sort of activites, or you can head up to Wimbleball Lake and take to the water. Within easy reach are Mansell Raceway, Shalden Shooting School, Raceworld Indoor Karting and Middlemoor Water Park; you could go over to the Jurassic Coast and take a mackerel fishing trip or play crazy golf at Lyme Regis, go out for the day on a steam train with the West Somerset Railway or on a horse drawn barge on the Tiverton canal. For treats and rewards visit one of the beautiful historic houses nearby; Knighthayes Court near Tiverton, or Hestercombe House and Gardens near Taunton. Like we said, heaps of inspiration.
And if you want to take everyone out for dinner you're spoilt for choice, whether you want a restaurant or a more traditional country pub. You can walk across the fields to The Globe Inn or there's The Martlett just up the road in Langford Budville; also good are The Rock Inn at Waterrow and The Culm Valley Inn, and for restaurants try Duende in Wiveliscombe or Podshaver's Barn at Bishops Lydeard.
So do it, step away from the usual hotel based corporate break and bring your troops down to Ham Bottom; your key staff will be chilled out and focused and those important clients will be well impressed. Book today!
