If you're looking for the perfect place to take key clients or hard working personnel and their partners for an away break, check out Halse Water House for the perfect country escape. This gorgeous and spacious thatched cottage enjoys a tranquil setting deep in the beautiful Somerset countryside and sleeps 12 guests in 6 bedrooms.

Your guests will have plenty of opportunity to unwind in the big garden; there's a stream running through it, a hot tub to soak in, and a wonderful outdoor dining pavilion in a pretty courtyard; a delightful spot for barbecues and drinks. Inside you'll find a well-equipped country kitchen, a charming dining room with an electric wood-burning effect stove, a spacious sitting room and a cosy snug.

Show your guests this wonderful part of the West Country; take them out for the day, roaming the heather topped heaths of Exmoor National Park, where you can stroll along the riverbank at Watersmeet or Tarr Steps and then go and have a cream tea. If you're feeling adventurous you can walk up the wooded cliffs to tiny Culbone Church, or up to Dunkery Beacon, the highest point on Exmoor; afterwards go to the Ship Inn at Porlock Weir for well earned drinks. If you all like walking then go into the wild and rugged Quantocks; and walk up one of the combes to the bracken clad hilltops, or walk from East Quantoxhead to Kilve where you can have tea and cake in the Chantry Tea Gardens; stroll around Nether Stowey and visit Coleridge Cottage, popping across the road to the Ancient Mariner for lunch. Take them for a trip on an old fashioned steam train on the West Somerset Railway, get off at Watchet or Blue Anchor and have fish and chips whilst you take in the sea air. You could visit one of the historic houses nearby, like Hestercombe House, Knightshayes or Dunster Castle

If you're team building check out our Extras page for inspiration; you'll find suppliers who can come in and instruct you in the art of pottery painting, cup cake decorating, life drawing or Flamenco or Salsa. Get out and get active with a horseback tour of the Quantocks with Quantock Trekking, hire some bikes or head down to Shalden Shooting School for clay pigeon shooting.

If you want to take them out to eat then see out Things To Do page and you'll find several suggestions, but just up the road in Halse is the New Inn, and only a few miles away is Podshavers Barn near Bishops Lydeard or Duende in Wiveliscombe. You might just prefer to book up with the owner who will come in and cook a delicious candlelit dinner for you all. Whatever you do, we're confident that your guests will enjoy a relaxing and memorable corporate stay in Somerset.
