Hen weekends, let’s be clear. We don’t do the squawky, screechy kind of thing; you know, L-plates and that, it’s just not our scene, but we are all for the time honoured tradition of a good weekend away with your besties before you tie the knot. We take a huge amount of bookings for bunches of belles just wanting to get away for a fairly refined couple of days, having a laugh, reminiscing, maybe some pampering, and certainly a few drinks and some jolly good nosh.
Garden Court is perfect for that kind of thing; it sleeps 14, there’s plenty of room, a nice big garden and a fantastic indoor pool, so you can spend the whole weekend just lazing around if you want to. Book your own bartender (see our Extras page for details), have cocktails and canapes on the terrace, get professional caterers in to cook you a huge celebratory dinner.
If you want to go out, you'll find heaps to do more or less on the doorstep here. Dorking is just down the road, and Leatherhead and Guildford are both within easy reach so if you fancy a night on the town, there’s plenty of choice. London is less than an hour away so you could go and have a sightseeing tour, take a trip on the London Eye, or visit Madame Tussauds; closer to home your holiday at Garden Court might coincide with Derby Day at Epsom Downs Racecourse, so you can get dressed up and go and cheer on the nags. If something quieter appeals you might enjoy a visit to Denbies Wine Estate or go to The Gin Kitchen for a distillery experience.
Outdoorsy sorts can go for a hike in the Surrey Hills, perhaps take a picnic, or time it so you can round it off with a bite to eat in one of the country pubs – like the King William IV or The Tree On Box Hill. What about something more adventurous, like Go Ape Chessington, Delta Force Paintball at Cobham, or Off the Kerb Trail Riding? Otherwise, test your puzzle solving skills at one of the nearby escape rooms. Take a look at our Things To Do pages for more inspiration and then reserve your hen weekend at Garden Court for 48 hours before you book.
