Organising a hen party can be a minefield! That's why at Sleeps12 we've got everything covered, from beautiful large group holidays houses to activities, entertainment and catering. So get your band of beauties together and head down to the Quantock Hills where you'll find Foxcombe - one of five luxury lodges sleeping 14 guests in 6 fabulous en suite bedrooms.

This is the perfect place for girls celebrating together - there's a lovely indoor heated pool so you can take a dip anytime of day or night; a huge U-shape sofa is just perfect for snuggling down together with bowls of popcorn to watch a romantic movie, and the commodious dining table is made for happy group celebrations - just picture it laden with food and wine, with you all sat round, glasses raised... And what's more, you don't even have to do the cooking if you don't want to - you can have one of our reputed local caterers in to do it for you; in fact if you take a look at our Extras page you'll find heaps of ideas for in-house activities. Can you imagine your terrific troop wearing berets and false moustaches for a life drawing class?! Or henna'd up for a Bollywood dance workshop?! Sat round the table customising knickers during a craft lesson?!

You'll find all kinds of outdoor activities within easy reach; something that's very popular with hen parties is a horseback tour of the hills with Quantock Trekking, followed by afternoon tea at their HQ. You could have a lot of fun at Exeter Quad Safari Centre, or at Mansell Raceway, but if you fancy something more sedate then head down to Tiverton where you can drift along the canal on a horse drawn barge and then have refreshments on board the Ducks Ditty Floating Cafe Bar, or board a steam train with the West Somerset Railway and alight for some time at the coast, at Watchet, Blue Anchor or Minehead.

There are some very welcoming country pubs in these parts that are good for lunch or dinner; the Rising Sun at West Bagborough is just up the road, and within a few miles is The Carew Arms at Crowcombe or the New Inn at Halse; if you prefer a restaurant then we highly recommend Podshavers Barn at Bishops Lydeard, or Duende at Wiveliscombe. You might choose to stay in and get dressed up for a casino experience or a cocktail class, mixing your own mojitos; or sit back and relax and have your drinks served to you by some cheeky Butlers in the Buff - the ultimate hen party choice! We suspect there'll be some sore heads in the morning - but well worth it for heaps of fun at Foxcombe!
