If you've got a pet pooch it's probably a big part of your family and it's good to take him with you when you go on your large group self catering holiday. The good news is that Dancing Hill allows dogs, so you can pack the lead and the bowl and the favourite toys and bring your mutt along to join in the fun. You won't be short of walks whilst you're here - Dancing Hill is out in the countryside with footpaths right on the doorstep. Wander up the road a bit and you'll find woods to amble through and tracks that lead you into the peaceful Quantock Hills. If you're planning days out there are heaps of places where doggie can come too; put him in the car and head out to the magical lowlands of the Somerset Levels for walks along the drovers tracks; climb to the top of Glastonbury Tor and head back down to the George & Pilgrim for lunch, or walk from Burrow Mump and wind up in the King Alfred at the bottom of the hill.
Go exploring the Quantocks with your faithfull friend; hike up to Wills Neck for some amazing views, or take a woodland track up Holford Combe, keeping your eye on the Plough Inn for a rewarding pint on your return. There are several dog friendly beaches on the Somerset coast though seasonal restrictions may apply; venture over to East Quantoxhead and walk to Kilve and back, run along the sands at Berrow, Brean or Doniford. Blue Anchor and Watchet Harbour Beach are good too, and if you're heading out to Exmoor stop off at Bossington Beach or Porlock Weir. When you get back to Dancing Hill, play ball in the garden before settling your woofer into his crate for the night. Sweet dreams, doggies, sweet dreams.
