High on a hillside with commanding views across Bridgwater Bay to the Bristol Channel and Wales, Dancing Hill has been lovingly converted from two centuries old cottages to a luxury large group holiday home. The ambience is warm and welcoming and you'll notice that as soon as you walk in through the timber porch to a wide hallway, bursting with character with soft lighting, herringbone terracotta tiles on the floor, a low ceiling and exposed timbers. Go straight through to the kitchen; there's an electric range with 2 big ovens, a warming oven and a five ring hob, a dishwasher and fridge/freezer.

Steps go down to the huge dining room, flooded with natural daylight from the windows that wrap round two sides. There's an amazing aluminium dining table and studded leather chairs, perfect for gatherign the family together for mealtimes and for scrumptious celebration feasts. To one end of the room are big leather sofas and a 56” Smart TV, so you don't have to miss those all-important matches! Bi-fold doors open onto the patio, and French doors lead to the covered veranda and secure garden. Off the dining room is a big walk in pantry with a larder fridge and heaps of storage, and a quirky loo with colorful tiling and a walk in shower.

Go left from the hall into the sitting room, which has overlooks the front garden. This room is homely and inviting, with sofas to put your geet up on, an enamelled wood-burning stove (logs supplied) you can light on colder days, a 40” TV, and plenty of books. In the floor there's a glass-covered, backlit working well - quite an unusual feature.

Off the sitting room is a utility room with a washer and dryer, and a loo. Also accessed from outside, this is perfect for when you get back from a country walk with muddy boots and wet dogs. The games room is right next to the sitting room; country pursuits wallpaper adds character, there's table tennis and sofas for spectators.

From the games room you can go back through to the kitchen or step out through the double doors onto the veranda.

To the right of the hall is the downstairs bedroom (Bedroom 6), with a feature fireplace, wooden beams and a superking bed (zip and link, so it can be arranged as two singles if you prefer). If you don't travel light, don't worry - there's a big old wardobe you can hang your things in.

Upstairs a long landing leads to the individually designed bedrooms. To the right is Bedroom 5 with zip and link beds, and access to a small ante-room with quirky Penguin book wallpaper and soft seating. Windows to two sides give you views over the living roof terrace (not accessible) to Bridgwater Bay and the Bristol Channel. There's room for an extra guest on a Z-bed in this room, at an extra charge.

Straight ahead at the top of the stairs is Bedroom 1, a large room with zip and link beds (plus room for a single Z-bed at an extra charge), a TV and an en suite shower room. Sit in bed with a cup of tea and admire those far reaching views; what a great start to the day! At one end of the room glazed doors lead to the ante-room; to the other end is a door through to Bedroom 2 (lockable) - so this makes a good set up for a family with parents in one room and the children in the other.

Bedroom 3 overlooks the front garden and has zip and link beds and big built-in wardrobes. We love the quirky wallpaper with velvety dogs in this room! Next to this, Bedroom 4 is a pretty room with a double bed, plenty of storage space, and an outlook over the front garden to the village and the countryside beyond.

The family bathroom is vintage style, tiled in heritage green and cream; it has a bath with a hand held mixer shower, and a good-sized walk-in shower cubicle.

The gardens at Dancing Hill are large and secure so no need to worry about small children or dogs escaping. From the parking area an ornate cast iron gate leads to the front garden, with steps up to the lawn. To the left hand side of the house there's access round to the woodstore, a covered veranda and secure lawned garden. Next to this is the patio where there’s outdoor seating and a BBQ, and from there steps go down to the hot tub and swim spa; a gate leads to the lawns and paddock beyond. Plenty of room for the little ones to run play and for alfresco dining, and several spots that are perfect for sitting with a drink in hand and admiring the views or chatting into the night with the lights twinkling on the far horizon.
