You'll love Culmbridge House; it's bright and airy and spacious, yet retains a real homeliness; it seems to welcome you, that's the thing. The huge kitchen/diner has chunky hand crafted oak furniture and oak flooring which brings a lovely warm ambience to the room, and it's so well equipped, with a big range oven and lots of modern appliances, you'll have no trouble finding everything you need to cook some scrumptious dinners. Mind you, there's always the option to call in one of our tried and tested professional caterers; lots of our guests do that for special occasions. Down the other end there's a big L-shaped sofa and a TV, so it's a really good family room, and a great space for socialising.
Next to the kitchen is a games room/children's snug, where there's a TV, air hockey and lots of board games; it's where the youngsters like to hang out. At the front of the house, down the wide hallway is Bedroom 5, with a zip and link bed (superking or twins) and an en suite shower room.
Just across the hallway is the living room, with warm oak flooring and plenty of inviting sofas to curl up on; natural daylight pours in through the big bay window and a stripped back brick and stone inglenook fireplace has a user-friendly wood-burning stove that gives a cosy glow and extra warmth in the colder months.
Back down the other end of the house, off the kitchen is a large utility/bootroom with a washing machine, tumble dryer, additional fridge, and a separate WC. This room can be accessed from outside so it's ideal for when you've been for a country walk and you've got muddy boots and wet coats to take off; it's also the ideal place for dogs to sleep. Next to the utility room is Bedroom 6, again, with zip and link beds, so tell us whether you want a superking or twins and we'll make sure it's done.
On the first floor are three double bedrooms, each with zip and link beds and two with an en suite shower room; there's also a lovely twin bedded room which has use of the shared bathroom across the landing. Bedrooms 2 and 3 both have the option of an additional single bed (charged extra). The bedrooms all have a very fresh and crisp feel with well co-ordinated accessories; all very calming to aid a restful night's sleep.
We love the ambience of Culmbridge House; fresh and modern, yet so homely. It's like good friends have lent you their house for a few days; yours to fill with love and laughter and good times.
The garden is a delight; big and private with lawns and a large patio where you can all sit around and have a laid back barbecue. Garden lovers can wander around and admire the mature shrubs and borders brimming over with flowers in the summer; children will love exploring the little paths where they can run about and play hide and seek. There's even a storage shed with garden games so when the weather's right get out the badminton and croquet; there's plenty of room for bikes, golf bags and fishing rods too, it's all so well thought out. Tucked away in a leafy nook is one of those lovely Nordic style BBQ lodges where you can gather together anytime of year; stay out late snuggled beneath the fairy lights, telling jokes, swapping stories.
A very short walk up the lane and you're at the private indoor pool hall, all yours from 9 in the morning till 10 at night. There are changing rooms and a shower and the hall doubles up as a games room, so it's most likely where you'll find the Dads of an evening!
The pool hall also has the luxury of a sauna; get you all out there, having fun, enjoying your large group stay to the max. The thing is, not relaxing here just isn't on, because that's exactly what Culmbridge House is all about; it's a house to be happy in, a house to enjoy. Book your stay today!
