We all love our dogs and naturally, when we go on holiday, we like to take them with us if possible - at Crowcombe you can do that; well behaved dogs are welcome, so bring them along and let them join in the fun. There's no shortage of opportunities for walks and exercise for your pet pooch whilst at Crowcombe; being right at the foot of the beautiful Quantock Hills means there are miles of gorgeous countryside to explore from your doorstep. You can get up into the hills, walk along the ridges and admire the landscape stretched out before you, or you can wander the many forest trails or stroll across rugged moorland with your four legged friend. We'd recommend Wills Neck for spectacular views, or the walk from Great Wood to Cothelstone Hill; get up into one of the combes, like Holford Combe and then go for lunch at The Plough Inn, or stroll along the millstream at Dunster. Not too far away you'll find some great dog friendly beaches on the Somerset coast - Sand Bay, Brean, Berrow and Kilve (great for fossil hunting) are open to dogs year round according to latest information, so whilst you take in the fabulous sea air, your furry friend can romp in the sea til his heart's content. If you want to venture out into the wider area, have a day on Exmoor, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with some breathtaking diverse scenery and plenty of opportunities for stretching your legs, like a hike to the top of Dunkery Beacon, or a more sedate stroll around Porlock Weir.
