What time can I arrive at the property?
The check in time for Crowcombe is 4pm. We can not allow you to arrive earlier than this as we will be busy preparing for your stay. If you think you might be earlier then why not stop at one of the recommended pubs or vist the nearby towns of Wellington or Taunton?
How do I find the property?
There are comprehensive directions provided in the My Booking section. Once you have made a booking you'll be able to access this from the sleeps12 homepage. Please use these instructions rather than Sat Nav as this can sometimes take you past the turning for the property. Please also pass these instructions to all members of your group.
Does this property require a cautionary deposit?
This property owner may require a cautionary deposit of up to £500 three weeks before your arrival. They will contact you directly to arrange this. More details about cautionary deposits can be found on this link.
Does this property allow two night stays?
Yes, this property has a two night weekend option. The two night breaks commence at 4pm on Friday and departure is by 4pm on Sunday. Please ensure that you have left the property promptly by 4pm. You run the risk of being charged for extra time in the property or having some, if not all, of your cautionary deposit held rather than being returned if you are found to be in or have been in the property after the 4pm departure time.
We are thinking of inviting people over for the day is this allowed at your property?
Unfortunately this is not allowed at any of the sleeps12 properties. This is clearly set out in the Terms and Conditions that should have been read at the time of booking. There is a maximum occupancy for each property that must not be exceeded for insurance purposes and every person who is a guest at the property must be added to the booking including their names and ages. If you think you may have invited people to visit then you must call the office so that relevant permissions can be obtained from the owners of the property. This is due to health and safety regulations as well as insurances.
Can I have a food delivery to the property?
Yes you can arrange to have a food delivery to the property on your arrival or during your stay. We ask that delivery slots are made for after the arrival time of 4pm and that you are there to receive the delivery personally. We recommend that you ensure that you put your mobile number and name on the delivery information. The following shops will deliver to this property: Asda, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tesco and COOK. As Crowcombe is not a postal address we do find that some supermarkets do not have this property on there website, if this is the case please can you use either Ramscombe or Cockercombe which are postal addresses and make a note saying this delivery is for Crowcombe and inlcude your booking name and contact number in the note.

What can we find supplied for us in the property?

There is enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for a dinner party. Salt and Pepper. Tea, Coffee, Sugar. Washing Up Liquid. Dishwasher Tablets. Tea Towels. J Cloths. Oven Gloves. Bin Bags. Hand Soap. Welcome pack of Shower Gel. 2 toilet rolls per toilet. All bed linen, one cot mattress sheet, bath towels and hand towels are supplied. There is a hair dryer in each bedroom.
WE RECOMMEND BRINGING EXTRA TOWELS FOR THE SWIMMING POOL AND FOOT WEAR (FLIP FLOPS) FOR GOING OUT TO THE POOL.
How should we leave the property when we depart?
It is important that your departure in no later than 10.am EXCEPT 2 night breaks, departure time is 2pm Sunday.
We expect all rubbish to be bagged up and left outside the front of the property.
All washing up from your stay should have been done and put away with the dishwasher loaded with your final load and then turned on before you leave.
The kitchen table and kitchen surfaces to be wiped down.
Any spillages to be cleaned up during your stay
Please check all rooms to ensure that nothing is left behind.
Any furniture that has been moved during your stay, please return to its original position.
We do not expect beds to be stripped and all towels etc can be left in bathrooms
We are more understanding if any damage is notified asap
As we do not stay at the property we rely on our guests informing us of anything that is missing from the property or if anything is not working correctly.
Is there a BBQ at the property?
Yes there is a GAS BBQ at the property (available Easter until the end of October)
Is there a music system at the property?
There is a CD player/DVD player in the property.
Is there WiFi at the property?
There is WiFi at the property but please be aware that Crowcombe is in a rural location and so the speeds may not be as quick as you are used to. More information can be found here. We would recommend that you download anything that you might need before your stay to avoid being disappointed.
Is there SKY TV at this property?
There is SKY TV at this property. There is a sports and movies package for your enjoyment. There is also Freeview on all TVs in the bedrooms.
I would like to have a toddler bed or cot at the property do I need to bring my own?
Crowcombe has 1 cot and 1 toddler bed that you can request when you complete your bedroom configurations. The cot comes with a bottom sheet and the toddler bed comes with a bottom sheet and a duvet. Please make sure the names of these younger guests are on your booking.
Are there any stairgates at this property?
Yes, Crowcombe has a built in stairgate so they are always available. These are located at the top and the bottom of the stairs.
Are dogs allowed at this property?
Dogs are welcome at Crowcombe. The owner allows up to two dogs and these are charged at £50 each. Please make sure that you have read and understood the dog rules for Crowcombe before you decide to add dogs to your booking. You can add dogs at the time of booking or before your stay.
Are hen parties and stag parties allowed here?
We do accept responsible hen and stag groups. Our properties are not designed to be party houses so would suit a more relaxed hen or stag group looking for luxury accommodation with plenty of facilities. Please ensure that you read all of the Terms and Conditions for this property before making your decision as to if this property is suitable for you. Thorncombe is one of 5 lodges in a 2.5 acre site. Because we offer family friendly accommodation you may be next door to a family please bare this in mind before making a booking for a hen or stag party. There must be no outside noise such as music after 11pm.
How big is the swimming pool at Thorncombe?
The pool is 22ft x 10ft and is a constant depth of 4ft.
How do we book EXTRAS that are listed on the website?
