Croftview allows pets which is great news for all you dog lovers out there, though bear in mind that this is entirely at the discretion of the owner so it’s crucial that you email or call to arrange this. Once there, we’ll bet that tail will be wagging almost 24/7! There’s a nice sized garden to play catch in, and an estate of 1,200 acres right on your doorstep with tracks and trails galore, through open fields, round wooded hills and in the valleys.

There are plenty more places to walk in the area; it’s nice to stroll around the quiet lanes and public footpaths, or if you go over to Ham Hill Country Park near Stoke-sub-Hamdon you can explore the ramparts to your hearts content and they’ve a very dog friendly pub there, The Prince of Wales. You can strut with your mutt in the gardens at Forde Abbey or Barrington Court, or you can head to the Jurassic Coast where you’ll find dog friendly beaches at Axmouth, Charmouth and Lyme Regis.

You’re not far from the Somerset Levels here so go and explore and you’ll find old drover’s paths to walk, alongside rhynes (pronounced REENS) made to help drain this unique landscape. On the edge of the levels you can walk part of the River Parrett Trail from Kinsgbury Episcopi to Langport, or have an amble along the old canal at Hambridge. Be sure to take your camera with you as the landscape is beautiful and you’ll get some wonderful doggie pics!

Take a look at the availability calendar and reserve your stay today! It’ll be one big happy holiday at Croftview  – all the family and the dog as well!
