Cockercombe is great for all kinds of large group holidays, whether it's one of families, friends or colleagues. It's light and airy, it's spacious and it's modernly stylish with neutral tones that add to the noticeably calm feel of the lodge. All of the bedrooms have zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as twins or superkings, and they have flat screen TV's and en suite bathrooms - three with baths and hand held showers, two with showers, and one with a wet room.

Cockercombe has a huge 30ft x 20ft open plan living space with relaxing comfy sofas, a big flatscreen television (great for movie nights) and a wood-burning stove for extra warmth and a cosy glow in the chillier months. The dining table comfortably seats 14 people - think of those happy family meals, plenty of food and wine; perfect for celebrations!

To one end is a fully equipped kitchen with all the latest appliances you'll need to make create a mouth-watering feast; there's a Marshall range cooker and an electric cooker, a fridge-freezer plus an additional fridge, and a dishwasher. If you don't fancy doing the cooking yourselves have a look at our Extras page where you'll find details of professional caterers who can come and do it for you; it's a popular option for birthdays and anniversaries because it means you can all socialise together whilst they do the cooking, and we can vouch for them - they're very, very good.

If you're here in the warmer months you'll no doubt want to eat outside and Cockercombe is all geared up for that with a large patio where there's garden furniture and a barbecue that you can use from April to October; you can even sneak in a quick game of ping-pong on the outdoor table tennis table whilst your steaks are sizzling, and the little ones can enjoy themselves in the play area clambering about on the chunky climbing frame, swinging on the swings and bouncing on the trampoline. Of course, they can also use some of their endless energy in the swimming pool, and the older kids will want to hang out in the upstairs games area.

What's really nice about Cockercombe is that there are big floor to ceiling windows in the pool hall and that massive living/entertaining room, so when it's really hot you can open them wide and make it all seem almost part of the outdoors. It's particularly nice on balmy evenings when you can wander out to the patio for a drink and a chat beneath the stars.

So round 'em up, bring the family, bring friends, bring colleagues; all will be happy at this luxury holiday house whether it's for a week or two, or just for a weekend. It feels great, it looks great, it's got everything you need, and it's surrounded by idyllic countryside, so there's no excuse for not going home feeling refreshed and raring to go.
