Here are some Frequently Asked Questions that might be helpful when planning your stay at Coat Barn:

What time can I arrive at the property?

You can arrive at Coat Barn at 4pm, but no earlier as we'll be busy preparing for your stay. If you think you might be in the area earlier then why not stop at one of the recommended pubs (see below) or visit one of the local towns? Langport, Crewkerne, Somerton, and Ilminster are all very pleasant for a browse round, or you might like to stroll round the bigger villages of South Petherton, or  Martock - both have some very attractive Hamstone buildings and a few shops.

Are there any good places to eat nearby, where we could stop for a bite to eat on our way to Coat Barn, or where we could go during our stay?

There are a quite a few good pubs not far away. We suggest any of these:

The Prince of Wales Inn, Ham Hill Country Park (top dog friendly pub!)

The White Hart, Somerton

The Devonshire Arms, Long Sutton

The Rose & Crown, Bower Hinton

The Phelips Arms, Monatcute

The Halfway House, Pitney

The Brewers Arms, South Petherton

How do I find the property?

Does this property allow two night stays?

It certainly does! A two night break starts at 4pm on Friday and departure is by 4pm on Sunday. It's imperative that you leave the property promptly by 4pm, otherwise you risk being charged for the extra time you're there and having some, if not all, of your cautionary deposit held rather than being returned.

We are thinking of inviting people over for the day - is this allowed at your property?

Regrettably, this is not allowed at any of the Sleeps12 properties, as stated in the Terms and Conditions (we ask you to read these when you book). This is because there is a maximum occupancy for each property that must not be exceeded for insurance/health & safety reasons, so all guests at the property must be included on your booking (we need to know their names and ages). If you have invited people to visit you at Coat Barn then you must call our office so that we can seek the relevant permissions from the owners of the property.

Can I have a food delivery to the property?

Yes, you can arrange to have a groceries delivered to the property on your arrival and during your stay. We ask that delivery slots are made for after the arrival time of 4pm and that you are there to receive the delivery personally. We also recommend that you put your mobile number and name on the delivery information. The following shops will deliver to this property: Asda, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tesco and COOK.

How do I access the property on the day of my stay? Will the owner meet me there or do I have to find the keys?

All check-in information will be available about 4 weeks before your arrival - you will receive an emailed about this with a link you can use, or you can view this information if you log into the My Booking section of the website by using your booking reference number and your email address. You'll be able to see the owners contact details and instructions to access the key if there is a key lock. We ask that you let us or the owners know what time you expect to arrive.
