We’re pleased to say that Churchill 20 is one of our dog friendly large group holiday homes in the UK, so you know what that means? Yep, it means your pet pooch can come along too, no need for kennels because he can come and join in the fun -and why not? After all, he’s one of the family!

The good thing is he won’t be short of exercise because in this part of Somerset there is so much beautiful outdoor space to explore. Wander across the lane, hop over the stile and stroll through the fields to The New Inn at Dowlish Wake. Take him to Forde Abbey where he can amble around the gardens with you, have a bimble along the old railway line that runs from Chard to Ilminster, around Chard Reservoir, or up to Herne Hill in Ilminster. Go up to the Blackdown Hills and you’ll find footpaths and forest trails at Staple Hill and Castle Neroche, or you can take in the tranquility of Otterhead Lakes; round it off with a well deserved pint at one of the nearby pubs – The Greyhound at Staple Fitzpaine, The Holman Clavel and The Candlelight at Bishopswood are all good.

Head out to the enchanting Somerset Levels and walk along the River Tone where you can climb to the top of Burrow Mump, then go back down to the King Alfred Inn. Drive over to the coast and treat your mutt to a run along the shore at Axmouth Harbour, Charmouth or Lyme Regis. Plenty of opportunity to get out in the fresh air, and we bet that tail just won’t stop wagging!

Note: Two dogs are welcome at this property and must be added when you are making your booking. A charge of £50 per dog will then be applied to the booking total.
