Two dogs are welcome at Chateau La Chutelière by prior arrangement, which is great news for those of you who can't really bear the thought of leaving your furry friend behind when you head off on your large group holidays in France. Get his passport sorted out, pack the lead and the bowl, and a couple of his favourite toys and off you go! The great thing is that there'll be absolutely no worries about where to go for doggy walks because at Chateau La Chuteliere there are 23 acres of grounds to explore! 23 acres! Plenty of room for exercise and for walks short and long! Go for a stroll along the river or the canal, amble through the woods, play ball on the lawn, and if you want to venture off site have a wander along the lane or down to the village. It'll be one big happy holidaywith the pet pooch included!
Note: Your dog(s) must be added when you make your booking. A charge of £50 per dog will then be applied to the booking total.
So that your dog or dogs can return to the UK there is a very friendly vet in the local village of La Ferriere, who will ensure that your pet passports are up to date.
There are strict dog rules to abide by at our properties, so please make sure you have read these before planning to bring your dog.
Ensure that dogs are kept off all furniture in the house and are not allowed to go upstairs.
There is a large utility room in the main house. Please use this area for drying off wet dogs and do not allow your pets in the rest of the house if they are wet and muddy.
Dogs are not allowed in the swimming pool.
Dogs are not allowed to be left unattended in the property at any time.
It is preferable that dogs sleep in a crate at night but if this is not possible they should sleep on the ground floor of the main house where there is a stone floor – so the kitchen, dining room or hallway. In The Stables they can sleep in the lounge where the floor is tiled.
Please ensure that any wet or muddy dogs are dried off with a towel that you have brought with you, before being allowed indoors. Dry them off either outside or in the utility room of the main house.
Please feed your dogs either outside or in the utility room of the main house.
Please ensure all dog mess is picked up throughout your stay and before you leave on the morning of departure.
Please be aware that surrounding grounds and farmland may contain livestock; therefore, please be courteous and make sure that dogs are kept on leads and fully supervised at all times.
