Here are a few frequently asked questions that may help you plan your stay at Bossington

What time can I arrive at the property?

The check in time for Bossington is 4pm. It's not possible for you to arrive earlier than this as we'll be busy preparing for your stay. If you think you might be earlier then why not stop at one of the recommended pubs or visit the nearby towns of Minehead or Watchet? 

Does this property require a security deposit?

This property owner requires a security deposit of £500 a week before your arrival. You will be contacted 3 weeks before your stay with information on how to pay this. More details about security deposits can be found on this link.

Can I have a food delivery to the property?

Yes, you can arrange to have a food delivery to the property when you arrive or during your stay. We ask that delivery slots are made for after the arrival time of 4pm and that you are there to receive the delivery personally. We recommend that you put your name and mobile number on the delivery information. The following shops will deliver to this property: Asda, Sainsburys, Tesco.

Where can I find directions for the property?

All directions are available to view on the My Booking section of the Sleeps12 homepage. You'll be able to access these as soon as you have made a booking with us. We recommend that you follow our directions rather than Sat Nav otherwise you may end up taking a strange route and going miles out of the way!. Please ensure that all guests are given the directions before leaving as you may find very little network to access the check-in details via 3G or 4G network.

How do I access the property on the day of my stay? Will the owner meet me there or do I have to find the keys?

All of your check-in information is provided for you about 4 weeks before your arrival. You will be emailed a link to this once it is available, or you can view this information by logging into the My Booking section of our website, using your booking reference number and your email address. You will then be able to see the owners contact details (for if you are going to be later than 4pm), and details of how to access the key if a key lock is provided.

We are thinking of inviting people over for the day is this allowed at your property?

Unfortunately this is not allowed at any of the Sleeps12 properties. This is clearly set out in the Terms and Conditions that we ask you to read at the time of booking. There is a maximum occupancy for each property that must not be exceeded due to health & safety and insurance legislation, so every person who is a guest at the property must be added to the booking, including their names and ages. If you have invited people to visit then please call the office so that relevant permissions can be obtained from the owners of the property. 

How should I leave Bossington at the end of my stay? What do I need to do?

Be sure to leave promptly by 10am, and to make sure that you leave the property in the clean and tidy order that you found it, noting the following:

  • All rubbish and recycling should be left in the bin area allocated for this.
  • All washing up from your stay should have been done and put away, with the dishwashers loaded with your final load and turned on before you leave.
  • The kitchen table and kitchen surfaces must be wiped clean.
  • Any spillages must be cleaned up.
  • Please check all the rooms, including the swimming pool, utility, bedrooms etc. to check that nothing is being left behind.
  • If any furniture has been moved during your stay, please return to its original position.
  • We do not expect any beds to be stripped and all towels, etc. can be left in the bathrooms.
  • If tablecloths and napkins are used during your stay please leave them in the utility area. 
  • Please let us or the owners know of any damage asap - people tend to be more understanding this way.
  • Please let us know if there is anything missing from the property, or if anything is not working properly.

What can we find in the property for us during our stay?

There is enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for a dinner party, salt and pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, washing-up-liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, dish cloth and sponge scourer, oven gloves, kitchen roll, kitchen foil, cling film, bin bags, 2 in 1 washing tablets, hand soap, at least 2 toilet rolls per toilet,Welcome packs of shower gel, moisturiser and bath soak. All bed linen, cot mattress sheets, bath robes, bath towels and hand towels are supplied.

Is there a BBQ at Bossington?

Yes there are two gas BBQs to the side of the property, for use all year round, with gas supplied. 

Is there plenty of fridge and freezer space? We have a group of 30 people and we need lots of space as we are staying for a week?

There is an entire room for this, with both upright and chest freezers. There is also fridge and freezer space in both kitchens. 

Are dogs allowed at Bossington?

Yes dogs are allowed. This property accepts a maximum of two dogs charged at £50 each. You can add these to your booking yourself as a chargable extra by logging onto the My Booking section of the Sleeps12 homepage, or call the office and we can add them for you. The extra charge for the dogs is added to your final payment. 

Is there WiFi at the property?

There is WiFi at the property but please be aware that Bossington is in a rural location and so the speeds may not be as quick as you are used to. More information can be found here. We would recommend that you download anything that you might need before your stay to avoid being disappointed. 

Are there any cots at Bossington?

Unfortunately there are no cots or toddler beds at this property, so please bring your own if you need them, but remember to let us know so that we can add this information to the bedroom configurations for the owner and housekeeper to see. It's very important that all infants' names and ages are on your guest list for insurance/health & safety reasons. 

The gardens are very large at the property - are they secure?

The gardens are a really lovely feature of Bossington but we can not guarentee they are secure as some of the fencing backs onto footpaths.

Is all of the garden accessible?

Due to the age of the property and grounds not all of the gardens are wheelchair accessible. There are several narrow pathways, stone steps and waterside paths which may be tricky for guests with a wheelchair or mobility issues. 

Is there any fencing around the lake?

No, there isnt any fencing around the lake and water gardens, so children must be supervised at all times while staying at Bossington Hall. 

How do we book EXTRAS that are listed on the website?

We are delighted that you are thinking of using one of our recommended suppliers/services! You'll need to contact them to make your arrangements and then please let us know by email or phone call who you have booked, when they are coming and how many people there will be. We need this information for insurance purposes.

Is there SKY TV at Bossington Hall?

There are 8 TVs at this property, with either SKY or Freeview.

We are staying for a whole week - are there any washing machines?

There are two washing machines and two tumble dryers in a laundry room to the side of the property, so no need to worry about muddy clothes if you've been out exploring Exmoor! 

What is in the games room?

The Games Room has a big TV with Freeview, table football and a pool table. It's always very popular with the younger guests!

Can we use the tennis court during our stay?

Yes of course! You'll even find tennis rackets supplied for you! We ask that you leave the court and pavilion as you found them - clean adn tidy, with the net wound up and rackets put away. 

There are 30 people in our party; we are planning on having a celebration meal as it is my Mothers 60th Birthday. Will the dining room seat us all?

The dining room is a lovely, spacious room with a huge table comfortably seats all 30 people. Please read our terms and conditions carefully befoe your stay.
