All of us here at Sleeps12 love dogs and we hate the thought of leaving them behind when we go on holiday - it can be such a wrench. If you go to Beaverbrook 30 you can take your pet pooch with you and he can join in all the fun; that tail just won't stop wagging! There are several footpaths that lead from the little hamlet of Cricket Malherbie, across fields and along quiet lanes; if you go about 50m down the lane you'll see a signpost for a footpath; stroll through the pastures to the pretty hamstone village of Dowlish Wake, go and sample some traditional Somerset cider at Perry's Cider Mills, or have lunch at the New Inn. Just over the hill is Forde Abbey where you and your dog can stroll around the beautiful grounds; only a few miles away, near Chard there's a short circular walk around a reservoir, or if you go to Ilminster you can head up above the town to the fields - you might find fossils up there if it's been recently ploughed, and the views are gorgeous. A little further afield are the glorious Blackdown Hills where you can go walking at Castle Neroche, Staple Hill or Otterhead Lakes. The magical Somerset Levels aren't far and you can wander along the drover's tracks, or walk along the River Tone at Burrowbridge and have refreshments at the King Alfred Inn. On the East Devon and world famous Jurassic coasts are beaches where you and your four legged friend can race along the shore; try Lyme Regis, Charmouth and Axmouth, though be aware that seasonal restrictions may apply. Heaps of opportunities for you and your dog to get out and about.
Note: Two dogs are welcome at this property and must be added when you are making your booking. A charge of £50 per dog will then be applied to the booking total.
