What a wonderful time of year! The festive lights are on in the towns and cities, the shops are getting busy.... and it's getting a little colder. With Christmas just around the corner, it's time to look forward to getting together with friends and family, time to start planning some festive fun and frolics. It can be quite a task getting everyone in one place for the big day, with work, and other people to visit, etc., so if that's proving too difficult, have an early December gathering instead.
Our luxury self catering properties look so gorgeous and homely when they're decorated for Christmas; lovely big trees, twinkling lights, seasonal garlands and greenery. It'll really set the scene for a mid-winter feast; just imagine a table laden with food, the chink of glasses and the happy chatter... Think of you all going for a country walk in the crisp December air, then coming back to settle by the warmth of a wood-burning stove, with mugs of steaming hot chocolate and cups of mulled wine. Get your large group together and come for a 2 night weekend, a 3 night weekend, or a 4 night midweek break; you'll make some memories to cherish.
We've got luxury lodges, country houses, lovingly converted barns, and ancient farmhouses to choose from, and if the kids have broken up from school, they'll have a great time as many of our properties have indoor pools, games rooms and outdoor play equipment. And your pet pooch needn't miss out on the pre-Christmas celebrations - bring him along too! Lots of our big group accommodation is dog friendly, and he certainly won't be short of exercise, with acres of countryside to explore!
