Walnut Arbour Reviews

10/10 - The facilities were fantastic, very homely feel to the property. Did help that we had nice weather though!! - Chamberlain

9/10 - Really nice property, a little remote, but we knew that beforehand. Sean (the owner) called in on the first evening to welcome us and make sure all was OK. Overall a very nice holiday. We went to Taunton for a cricket match and Lyme Regis. Both pretty good. - Rathbone

10/10 - Such great facilities but the steam room didn’t really seem to work properly? The pool was great but when it’s hot outside, because it’s heated then it was too hot in there to use unless you have doors open. Great in the winter but too hot and humid for the summer days unless temperature is turned down. The electric went off twice. Once for a few seconds and second time for we had to find the trip switches to turn back on. Amazing property though with lots of space and stuff to do and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Can recommend - Life at Greenway's Sausage Making in Bridgwater. - Hayward

10/10 - We had wonderful week, it was a shame the steam room was not working. We took the children to the Willows and Wetlands they did a willow search and loved it - wonderful staff there. - Savage

9/10 - The only improvement to the house would be to have a toilet and shower in the pool area. Other than that it was perfect. - Forte

10/10 - Walnut Arbour was a beautiful property. The swimming poolhot tubsauna and games room were a great hit. It was very well equipped, the owners had thought of everything. We didn't really need to leave the house as everything we needed was right there! Shame the steam room wasn't ready for use, maybe next time! - Bates

10/10 - I honestly can not think of anything that would have improved our stay, it was amazing.- Patrick

9/10 - Walnut Arbour was everything it promised to be. 4 generations of family to celebrate my 50th with plenty of space for everyone and with a swimming poolsaunahot tubgames room and even boxes of toys there was something for everyone. The house is so well equipped and even had children’s cutlery and crockery. It really is awesome. Only thing I think would improve the experience is a downstairs shower preferably near the pool (as showering before using the pool, hot tub etc upstairs was a pain), also the BBQ is too small for large parties (a 4 burner would be better) and only one pint glass in the house. None of these ‘improvements’ spoiled our time though and we’d love to go back. We also used Gayla catering from sleeps 12 who came in and catered a 3 course meal one evening (top quality) and the waitress Lucy was fab with our little ones (& big ones!!) and Jackie’s cakes also from sleeps 12 website baked me the best birthday cake. We can recommend Willows and Wetlands visitor centre, Weston-Super-MareClark’s shopping village. - Maggs

10/10 - It was perfect. - Perry

8/10 - It was a beautiful stay. Swimming pool not deep enough for adults. - Saleh

9/10 - Loved everything about it. Would recommend leaving out a mop for the floor especially for cloakroom when you've been in either pool or hot tub. Iron and ironing board would be handy. More cupboard space for food shopping in kitchen. - Montague

10/10 - No improvement needed. We stayed at the house and enjoyed walks in the surrounding countryside. - Arthur Family

10/10 - We didn't leave the house all weekend! The house was just perfect had everything we needed and more. Enjoyed the poolsauna and especially the hot tub. The games room was a big hit too. We all loved the huge lounge where we could chill and chat in comfort. The house was lovely and warm so cozy. The children’s toys were great for our little ones. We all had the best weekend and can’t wait to visit again. - Power Family

10/10 - We all particularly enjoyed the swimming poolsauna and hot tub. Our age range of 6 to 60 showed that every age group was catered for. We were only there for a three night break to celebrate my elder daughters 40th birthday and the facilities were such that we didnt need to leave the property. The only time we set foot outside was for some of us to have an amazing walk and met some locals who showed us a good route. - MacPherson Family

9/10 - We enjoyed our stay but a hand rail to get into the hot tub would be amazing. Visit to the Wetland Centre is worth it! - Shrubsole Family

10/10 - It was lovely to have the all the facilities available to us without being shared with other properties. Everything was provided that we needed, plastic cups, robes, even a bottle of wine on arrival. The house was beautiful, spacious and very clean. The only thing I would say is that there needs to be better information about the parking on the website (maybe a map) as it is really close but sounded far away. The heating was a little high at night and you were unable to turn the bathroom radiators off or down, these were so hot that you couldn’t touch them, but the thermostat for the house said do not touch so we opened the windows which was a little inefficient for heating bills! - Wellings Family

9/10 - Loved the pool and the hot tub. We would recommend a visit to Clark's Village for shopping. - Dunn Party

10/10 - We enjoyed our stay! - Vincent Group

9/10 - Games room and hot tub were excellent features. The owners were very helpful with any problems/questions. We visited the local Wetlands Centre which is just minutes away. - Tyrrell Family

8/10 - The children loved the games room and were easily seen from the house. The swimming pool  and hot tub were also very popular. An extending mirror in the bathroom of bedroom 1 would be helpful.  - Gooderham Family

8/10 - There was plenty to do, with the games room, swimming pool, sauna and hot tub to keep us all busy and entertained. House was clean and homely - a lovely retreat for a family holiday. - Cleine Party

10/10 - The property exceeded our expectations, everything had been thought of to make the stay in the house more relaxed and enjoyable. We visited Dunster Castle and Torre Cider during our stay. - Healy Family

10/10 - Everything about the house was great. The pool was ideal as it didn't have to be perfect weather to go in. The hot tub was amazing as well. The house was spotless and had everything you would need. A couple of people were left without bath robes but other than that it was amazing. Would definitely consider booking again. - Harris Family y 2017

10/10 - Loved the private indoor pool and hot tub. We can recommend visiting Hestercombe House and Gardens and the Willows and Wetlands centre, the tour was great and the only a short walk from the property. - Michel Family

10/10 - We loved the jacuzzi, the indoor pool and the sauna. The house was large enough for us all to have our own space when needed, and it was just spectacular. Very well equipped. Sean, the owner was really helpful with a couple of little issues we had. The Wetlands Centre is really nice for a couple of hours visit, and you can walk to it down the lanes from Walnut Arbour. Brean beach is nice and you can drive on to it. - Powell Family

10/10 - Loved everything. Lots of pertinent information additionally provided which most people don't think about until actually on holiday. Very thoughtful to allow us to enhance our stay. Thank you! Already recommending to friends. We visited Montacute House and Stonehenge during our stay! - Jones Family

10/10 - Games room was a big hit, the couches were very comfy in the living room, generally the layout of the whole house was pretty great. A very nice and chilled few days away. Only little niggle - we couldnt get the bluetooth to work on the jacuzzi but we just used our phone speaker we took with us instead. We visited Taunton which was a nice town with plenty of shops, cafe's and pubs. - Evans Family

10/10 - You provided an excellent service and had covered everything prior to our visit. - Owens

9/10 - A trip to Glastonbury to walk up the tor and then through the town. A circular walk from the property to the Willow and Wetlands centre, they have a nice restaurant/cafe there and dogs are welcome. The facilities ie pool, sauna, hot tub and games room were excellent for different age groups on a family holiday. Everything was good quality. Nothing to improve upon, just keep everything well maintained and clean. - Underwood

10/10 - A holiday with four under threes seemed daunting for my sister and I but Walnut Arbour has proved a real home from home and all the baby bits made packing the cars so much easier - the children loved the pool and we all loved the hot tub later in the evenings. - Bristow

10/10 - Walnut Arbour provided a much anticipated destination for my husbands birthday celebration with friends from as far afield as America and Italy enjoying the luxury of this great holiday barn, the caterers were simply superb and really took the effort out of a really special meal. -  Talbot

10/10 - Walnut Arbour has been the perfect holiday home for our family for my husbands 70th Birthday party, everyone from Toby, aged 2 to my husband and I loved the comfort and luxury of the barn and all the thoughtful additions you provided, we will be back for my not too distant 70th! - Lewis

10/10 - We had looked forward to a Christmas with the whole family for a year and our week at Walnut Arbour was superb, everything worked beautifully for us and to have the wonderful spacious living areas as well as the fabulous dining room and well equipped kitchen was a treat for us all - it was so lovely to spend christmas together in such a lovely house, thank you. - Warner Family

10/10 - The property was very comfortable and very well equipped; the group has been meeting up for the last 4 years and we all agreed that this was the best property we have stayed in. It is especially nice to find that all of the bedrooms are of a similar standard; you would be surprised how rare that is!
