Caldicott Castle and Country Park, Caldicot, Monmouthshire
The creeper clad ruins of this medieval castle stand in peaceful gardens and a 55 acre wooded country park; climb to the top of the keep for spectacular views of the Monmouthshire countryside. It’s a good family day out as the little ones will enjoy running around and letting off steam, and there’s a Children’s Activity Station where they can play games, solve puzzles, identify trees, and make a castle to take home. There’s on-site parking and a café, or take a picnic.
