Burrowbridge, Somerset

A small parish on the Somerset Levels, formed around Burrow Mump which rises out of the flats and can be seen for miles. At the top is a ruined chapel standing as a memorial to the men and women of Somerset who lost thier lives in the Second World War. Worth the short climb for the views, and afterwards, you can go back down to the King Alfred Inn for lunch, or have a longer stroll through the fields along the banks of the River Parrett.
