Bossington Hall is a beautiful Edwardian House set on a hillside, with spectacular views over the Porlock Vale. It sleeps 30 guests and has 15 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms. The 6 acre grounds include a hard standing tennis court with a thatched pavilion, a pond and water garden. 


By train - The nearest train station is at Taunton, approximately 28 miles away.

By car - Detailed directions can be found in your check-in information which you can access from 4 weeks before the start of your holiday. 

There is a ramp available if needed - this must be requested before the start of your holiday. 

Key Collection, Welcome and Car Parking

The manager will come to meet you at the property and will show you around. 

There is parking for 15 cars in a car park lit by PIR lights.

From the car park to the door at the side of the house (the 'main entrance' for guests) there are two steps up to a level patio and then a further step to the door. None of these steps are more than 150mm high. 

There is also an entrance to the rear of the house accessed via a cobbled yard with no steps. 

Entrance to Property

There are 3 entrances to the property - at the side (as above), at the back (as above) and there is also an entrance at the front of the house which would have originally been the main door and is accessed through a stone porch.

There are two steps up to the porch. These are 1200mm wide. 

The front door is 1120mm wide.

Inside the front door there are 4-5 steps up to the hallway. These are 1200mm wide.

The flooring throughout the house is a mix of carpet, polished oak and tiles.

The lighting is mainly pendants and table lamps.

Nearly all internal doors are 800mm or more

Halls, Stairs, Landings, Passageways

The main stairs, leading to the first floor only, are carpeted and are 115cm wide and a minimum height of 85mm 

The door leading to the rear corridor is 955mm wide.


Sitting Rooms/Lounges

There are three steps 145cm wide down to the main sitting room

Second smaller living room level access.

The Pool Room door is 845mm



There are 2 kitchens at Bossington Hall. The worktop height in both is 92cm.

The door into the main kitchen from the dining room/hall is 835mm wide

The door from the main kitchen through to the hall is 850mm wide and has a 130mm sill . There is an alternative route via the rear corridor.

The door from the main kitchen to the rear corridor is 915mm wide

The door to the WC off the rear corridor is 740mm wide

The second kitchen door is 820mm wide


Bedrooms and Sleeping Areas

Ground Floor:

Bedroom A -  The door width is 770mm; the door to the ensuite wet room (fully DDA compliant) is 750mm.

Bedroom B -  The door width is 760mm; there is an en suite shower room. 

Bedroom C -  The door width is 815mm; the door to the en sutie shower room is 910mm wide.

The rear fire door is 910mm wide.


The paved patio is uneven, as are some of the pathways around the garden.
