Animal Farm Family Theme Park, Berrow, Somerset
When you're on your large group holidays in Somerset, take the young ‘uns for a fun-filled day out at Animal Farm Family Theme Park near Berrow. They’ll have a whale of a time and oh, to see the excitement on their little faces! It’s remarkably good value as included in the ticket price are all the rides and spread out over 23 acres there’s plenty to see and do.
Imagine the shrieks of joy coming from the Caterpillar Rollercoaster, the Jumping Bean vertical drop ride, the Bunny Wheel and the Spinning Honeypots! There’s also a 20 metre zip wire, tramplines and a huge bouncy castle, but if you prefer something more sedate have a go on Dexter’s Tractor Ride or the Safari Train. They’ll still have boundless energy for the adventure play area and inflatables! If the weather’s not on your side, don’t worry because there’s a terrific indoor play barn and a penny amusement arcade. And the animals! Farm animals like goats, sheep, alpacas, llamas, lambs, ponies and pigs, and a Cuddle Club where the cutest rabbits, guinea pigs and baby chicks are waiting to be stroked and snuggled. Feed the chipmunks, meet the ferrets and if you’re brave enough get to grips with the reptiles – boas and bearded dragons included.
Animal Farm Family Theme Park has events during the year with appearances from favourite TV characters, and in late October there’s a super-duper extravaganza with Fireworks & Fun. Another thing they offer is Keeper Experiences, for whole days, half days or 2 hours, so there’s a treat for the little darlings. Rumbling tummies can be satisfied at the Barbecue Grill, the Flamingo Food Kiosk or the Milking Parlour Café Restaurant.
Open everyday 9.00am-6.30pm (last entry 4.30pm in the summer, 4pm out of season) The park may close for maintenance Nov-Jan, so call ahead if you’re planning to visit then.
