What time can we arrive at Wayside?

The arrival time for this property is 4pm. Please do not arrive any earlier than this as we can not allow you to enter the property. We need to prepare the house fully for your stay and so need the time beween bookings to do this. If you think you may be later than 4pm so call the property owner and let us know your estimated time of arrival. Their contact details can be found in your check in information. The owner may also contact you a few days before your arrival to find out your estimated time of arrival.

How do I find the property?

There are comprehensive directions provided in the My Booking section. Once you have made a booking you'll be able to access this from the sleeps12 homepage. Please use these instructions rather than Sat Nav as this can sometimes take you past the turning for the property. Please also pass these instructions to all members of your group.

We think we may travel down to the property earlier in the day so as to miss traffic. We cant enter the property until 4pm so is there anywhere you'd recommend for us to stop?

Wayside is in a rural location but why not stop at Wellington which is full of lovely independent shops or Taunton a larger county town with the usual high street shops and eateries. If you are looking for a good country pub to stop at for lunch then why not try The Culm Valley Inn in nearby Culmstock? If you are looking to stop a little further away then Exeter may be a good choice.

Does this property require a cautionary deposit?

This property owner may require a cautionary deposit of up to £750 three weeks before your arrival. They will contact you directly to arrange this. More details about cautionary deposits can be found on this link.

We are thinking of inviting people over for the day is this allowed at your property?

Unfortunately this is not allowed at any of the sleeps12 properties. This is clearly set out in the Terms and Conditions that should have been read at the time of booking. There is a maximum occupancy for each property that must not be exceeded for insurance purposes and every person who is a guest at the property must be added to the booking including their names and ages. If you think you may have invited people to visit then you must call the office so that relevant permissions can be obtained from the owners of the property. This is due to health and safety regulations as well as insurances.

Can I have a food delivery to the property?

Yes, you can arrange to have a food delivery to the property when you arrive or during your stay. We ask that delivery slots are made for after the arrival time of 4pm and that you are there to receive the delivery personally. We recommend that you put your mobile number and name on the delivery information. The following shops will deliver to this property: Asda, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tesco and COOK. 

How do I access the property on the day of my stay? Will the owner meet me there or do I have to find the keys?

All of your check-in information is provided for you about 4 weeks before your arrival. You will be emailed a link to this once it is available. You can view your check-in information by logging into the My Booking section of our website using your booking reference number and your email address. Then you'll be able to see the owner's contact details (in case you are going to arrive later than 4pm) as well as how to access the key if a key lock is provided. There will also be comprehensive directions - please take the time to view these and don't rely on SatNav! The owner will contact you a few days before you arrive to confirm your estimated arrival time. 

What time do we need to depart from Wayside?

Check out time is 9.30 at Wayside. Please make sure that you are packed and ready to leave by this time. The cleaners will arrive promptly and will need access to the property to start the cleaning and maintenace.

What is supplied for us in the property?

The property owners supply the following items: Enough crockery and glasses for a dinner party, Tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets (at least 6), 2 toilet rolls per toilet, tea towels, kitchen foil, cling film, bin bags, hand soap, complimentary shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, all bed linen, dish cloths, oven gloves, kitchen roll, cot sheets, cot mattress sheets, bath robes, bath and hand towels. Please ensure you bring your own towels for the pool or hot tub. We also recommend bringing flip flops for going out to the pool or hot tub. 

How should we leave the property when we depart?
It is important that your departure in no later than 9.30am .
We expect all rubbish to be bagged up and left outside the front of the property.
All washing up from your stay should have been done and put away with the dishwasher loaded with your final load and then turned on before you leave.
The kitchen table and kitchen surfaces to be wiped down.
Any spillages to be cleaned up during your stay
Please check all rooms to ensure that nothing is left behind.
Any furniture that has been moved during your stay, please return to its original position.
We do not expect beds to be stripped and all towels etc can be left in bathrooms
We are more understanding if any damage is notified asap
As we do not stay at the property we rely on our guests informing the owner of anything that is missing from the property or if anything is not working correctly.

Does this property allow 2 night breaks?

Unfortunately two night breaks are not advertised for Wayside. Our weekend breaks are Friday 4pm - Monday 9.30am. If you only wanted to stay two nights then you could and check out at any time on the Sunday but the price would remain the same as a three night break. 

Is mobile phone signal good at Wayside?

Mobile signal varies but there is no signal at Wayside on some phones, there is no 3G or 4G here so please ensure that all directions and information you need is stored before you arrive. You'll be able to access the WiFi codes on arrival. 

Is there WiFi at Wayside?

Yes there is, the password will be avaliable to you once you have access to the property. Wayside is in a rural location and so network speeds vary, please download anything you may need during your stay before you arrive as we would not want you to be disappointed in the speeds. Are dogs allowed at Wayside?

No unfortunately dogs are not allowed at this property. We do have many other dog friendly properties though so please take a look at the properties on this link

Is there a BBQ or a BBQ lodge at Wayside?

Yes there are both! The BBQ lodge is available all year round, while the BBQ outside is a gas BBQ (gas provided) and available Easter to the end of October. The charcoal for the BBQ lodge is not provided.

Is there a pool at Wayside? How big is it?

There is a lovely heated pool at this property. The pool is 16ft x 32ft and is 4.6ft deep. It has a large glass surround that is kept warm all year. There are also some poolside furniture there for your relaxing pleasure! There is also a shower area for your convenience.

Is there a hot tub at Wayside?

Yes, there will be! A brand new hot tub is being added from March 2018 as well as a luxurious barrel sauna. How perfect is that?!

Is there a games room at this property?

There is plenty of things to do at Wayside during your stay including a games room with an air hockey table and a pool table. There is also play equipment in the garden and a trampoline. 

Is there SKY TV at Wayside?

There is SKY TV at this property. 

We have a small baby coming with us - is there a cot at Wayside?

There is a cot and a highchair at Wayside. These can be requested when you complete your bedroom configurations. Please make sure that all babies or toddlers are also added to the guest list as we will require their names and ages.

Does this property accept hen and stag parties?

If you are planning on a quiet and relaxing hen or stag party then this property should fit the bill nicely! Anyone booking a Sleeps12 property for a hen or stag party should understand that our houses, including this one, are not designed to be party houses. We welcome respectful, relaxed groups looking to spend quality time with friends and family. If you are unsure if the property is suitable for your group please call the office before booking. 

How do we book EXTRAS that are listed on the website?

It is great that you are looking to further enhance your stay while in this property! Thank you for using one of our recommended suppliers that we have mentioned in our EXTRAS for the property. Please contact them and arrange this. Once it has been arranged you will need to let us know by email or phone call who you have booked, when they are coming and how many people there will be. We need this information for insurance purposes.
