Here are a few frequently asked questions that may help you plan your stay at The Granary
What time can I arrive at the property?
Arrival time is 4pm. We can not let you arrive earlier than this as the cleaning and maintenance teams may well be still preparing the properties for your stay. If you think you may arrive later than 4pm then please contact the owner/housekeeper on the number you have been given in your check in details. These are available to you on the My Booking section of the sleeps12 homepage about 4 weeks before arrival. You'll also be notified of this via an automated email.
What is the address of this property?
The address can be found on the property pages, including a postcode. Please follow the directions given in the My Booking section as these have been specifically prepared for you. You may also like to give these directions to all members of your party!
How do we access the property when we arrive?
You will have been given the code to access the property in your check in information. You will have been emailed a link to this about 4 weeks before arrival. You can also access this from the My Booking section of the sleeps12 website. This information also contains the contact details for the owner or housekeeper, please ensure that you call them if you are running late because they will come and show you around the property once you have arrived.
Does this property require a cautionary deposit?
This property owner may require a cautionary deposit of up to £500 three weeks before your arrival. They will contact you directly to arrange this. More details about cautionary deposits can be found on this link.
Does this property allow two night stays?
Yes, this property has a two night weekend option. The two night breaks commence at 4pm on Friday and departure is by 2pm on Sunday. Please ensure that you have left the property promptly by 2pm. You run the risk of being charged for extra time in the property or having some, if not all, of your cautionary deposit held rather than being returned if you are found to be in or have been in the property after the 2pm departure time.
We are thinking of inviting people over for the day is this allowed at your property?
Unfortunately this is not allowed at any of the sleeps12 properties. This is clearly set out in the Terms and Conditions that should have ben read at the time of booking. There is a maximum occupancy for each property that must not be exceeded for insurance purposes and every person who is a guest at the property must be added to the booking including their names and ages. If you think you may have invited people to visit then you must call the office so that relevant permissions can be obtained from the owners of the property. This is due to health and safety regulations as well as insurances.
Did I read that there are extra beds at this property?
The Granary sleeps 18 people but can accommodate another 6 people. The property has 6 hideaway bed. These are 3 foot singles with the same luxury matresses and bedding as the main beds. You can see where these are placed by taking a look at the floor plans available on this link.
Can I have a food delivery to the property?
Yes you can arrage to have a food delivery to the property on your arrival or during your stay. We ask that delivery slots are made for after the arrival time of 4pm and that you are there to receive the delivery personally. We recommend that you ensure that you put your mobile number and name on the delivery information. The following shops will deliver to this property: Asda, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tesco and COOK.
What can we find for us at the property?
In the The Granary there is enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for a dinner party for 18, Salt and, Pepper, Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Nespresso machine with 10/15 pods left in the house, Washing Up Liquid, Toilet Rolls, Tea Towels, Dish Cloth, Hand Soap, Welcome pack of Shower Gel, Soap, Hair dryers in all rooms, All bed linen, bath robes, bath towels and hand towels are supplied. We recommend bringing extra towels for the hot tub, and foot wear (flip flops) for going out to the hot tub.
How should we leave the property at the end of our stay?
We are often asked how the property should be left
It is important that your departure in no later than 10.am EXCEPT 2 night breaks, departure time is 2pm Sunday.
We expect all rubbish to be bagged up and left outside the front of the property.
All washing up from your stay should have been done and put away with the dishwasher loaded with your final load and then turned on before you leave.
The kitchen table and kitchen surfaces to be wiped down.
Any spillages to be cleaned up during your stay
Please check all rooms to ensure that nothing is left behind.
Any furniture that has been moved during your stay, please return to its original position.
We do not expect beds to be stripped and all towels etc can be left in bathrooms
We are more understanding if any damage is notified asap
As we do not stay at the property we rely on our guests informing us of anything that is missing from the property or if anything is not working correctly.
Is there WiFi at The Granary?
There is WiFi at the property but please be aware that The Granary is in a rural location and so the speeds may not be as quick as you are used to. More information can be found here. We would recommend that you download anything that you might need before your stay to avoid being disappointed.
Is there a BBQ at The Granary?
Yes there is and what lovely addittions these are! You are spoilt with a large gas BBQs, the gas is provided. This is an amazing outside dining area with stool seating, overlooking the garden. There is also a Nordic BBQ lodge which uses charcoal. Some charcoal is provided for you.
Is there SKY TV at The Granary?
There is SKY TV in the main living area as well as the games area.
Are dogs allowed at The Granary?
Yes, dogs are allowed at The Granary, these are charged at a £50. A maximum of two dogs are allowed and they can be added to the booking yourself or by calling the office. The additional money will be added to your final payment.
We are thinking of having a drinks party as part of our birthday celebration. Is there an ice maker in the fridge?
There is actually an ice machine at The Granary which will produce lots of ice. This is a stand alone machine and is on the worktop in the kitchen.
How do we book EXTRAS that are listed on the website?
It is great that you are looking to further enhance your stay while in this property! Thank you for using one of our recommended suppliers that we have mentioned in our EXTRAS for the property. Please contact them and arrange this. Once it has been arranged you will need to let us know by email or phone call who you have booked, when they are coming and how many people there will be. We need this information for insurance purposes.
