These Frequently Asked Questions may help you plan your stay at The Granary and Barns

What time can I arrive at the property?

Arrival time is 4pm. We can not let you arrive earlier than this as the cleaning and maintenance teams may well be still preparing the properties for your stay. If you think you may arrive later than 4pm then please contact the owner/housekeeper on the number you have been given in your check in details. These are available to you on the My Booking section of the sleeps12 homepage about 4 weeks before arrival. You'll also be notified of this via an automated email. 

What is the address of these properties?

The address can be found on the property pages, including a postcode. Please follow the directions given in the My Booking section as these have been specifically prepared for you. You may also like to give these directions to all members of your party!

How do we access the properties when we arrive?

You will have been given the code to access the properties in your check in information. You will have been emailed a link to this about 4 weeks before arrival. You can also access this from the My Booking section of the sleeps12 website. This information also contains the contact details for the owner or housekeeper, please ensure that you call them if you are running late because they will come and show you around the property once you have arrived. 

Are The Granary and Barns two different properties?

Yes, The Granary is a large 9 bedroomed barn conversion and the Barns are adjacent to it. They can be accessed via a large gate between the two. This can be left open if you have rented both properties. In total these two properties can sleep 44 people. This makes it a perfect venue for a large celebration. 

If we are staying in the Barns section can we use the facilities in The Granary?

Yes of course, when you rent both together you have access to all of the facilities.

Does this property require a cautionary deposit?

This property owner may require a cautionary deposit of up to £500 three weeks before your arrival. They will contact you directly to arrange this. More details about cautionary deposits can be found on this link.

Does this property allow two night stays?

Yes, this property has a two night weekend option. The two night breaks commence at 4pm on Friday and departure is by 4pm on Sunday. Please ensure that you have left the property promptly by 4pm. You run the risk of being charged for extra time in the property or having some, if not all, of your cautionary deposit held rather than being returned if you are found to be in or have been in the property after the 4pm departure time. 

We are thinking of inviting people over for the day is this allowed at your property?

Unfortunately this is not allowed at any of the sleeps12 properties. This is clearly set out in the Terms and Conditions that should have ben read at the time of booking. There is a maximum occupancy for each property that must not be exceeded for insurance purposes and every person who is a guest at the property must be added to the booking including their names and ages. If you think you may have invited people to visit then you must call the office so that relevant permissions can be obtained from the owners of the property. This is due to health and safety regulations as well as insurances.

Can I have a food delivery to the property?

Yes you can arrange to have a food delivery to the property on your arrival or during your stay. We ask that delivery slots are made for after the arrival time of 4pm and that you are there to receive the delivery personally. We recommend that you ensure that you put your mobile number and name on the delivery information. The following shops will deliver to this property: Asda, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tesco and COOK.

What can we find for us at the property?

In the The Granary there is enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for a dinner party for 18, Salt and, Pepper, Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Nespresso machine with 10/15 pods left in the house, Washing Up Liquid, Toilet Rolls, Tea Towels, Dish Cloth, Hand Soap, Welcome pack of Shower Gel, Soap, Hair dryers in all rooms, Irons and Ironing Boards in all rooms, All bed linen, bath robes, bath towels and hand towels are supplied. We recommend bringing extra towels for the hot tub, and foot wear (flip flops) for going out to the hot tub. The Barns has all of the above for the amount of people staying so there will be plenty of everything for your stay. 

How should we leave the properties at the end of our stay?

We are often asked how the property should be left
It is important that your departure in no later than 10.am EXCEPT 2 night breaks, departure time is 2pm Sunday. 
We expect all rubbish to be bagged up and left outside the front of the property.
All washing up from your stay should have been done and put away with the dishwasher loaded with your final load and then turned on before you leave.
The kitchen table and kitchen surfaces to be wiped down.
Any spillages to be cleaned up during your stay
Please check all rooms to ensure that nothing is left behind.
Any furniture that has been moved during your stay, please return to its original position.
We do not expect beds to be stripped and all towels etc can be left in bathrooms
We are more understanding if any damage is notified asap
As we do not stay at the property we rely on our guests informing us of anything that is missing from the property or if anything is not working correctly.

Is there plenty of parking at these properties?

There is an abundance of parking at The Granary and Barns, there is a large car park at the front of the Barns and The Granary has it's own parking you'll see a sign saying Private Parking.

Is there WiFi at these properties?

There is WiFi at the property but please be aware that The Granary and Barns is in a rural location and so the speeds may not be as quick as you are used to. More information can be found here. We would recommend that you download anything that you might need before your stay to avoid being disappointed.

Is there a BBQ at the property?

The BBQs are great at The Granary and Barns. Each has its own large outside BBQ with preperation space and 'bar' like setting. There is also a Nordic BBQ lodge in the gardens of The Granary. 

We have some young children with us, are these provided for?

The Granary has three travel cots that are suitable for infances and three high chairs. There are also 4 travel cots in The Barns and two high chairs. These can all be requested when you complete your bedroom configurations before your stay. 

There is a wood burner in The Barns but is there one in The Granary?

There is a wood burner in The Barns and logs for this are provided, the fire at The Granary is a 'fake' but extreemly stylish and uses no logs!

How do we book EXTRAS that are listed on the website?

It is great that you are looking to further enhance your stay while in this property! Thank you for using one of our recommended suppliers that we have mentioned in our EXTRAS for the property. Please contact them and arrange this. Once it has been arranged you will need to let us know by email or phone call who you have booked, when they are coming and how many people there will be. We need this information for insurance purposes.
