Some of us wouldn't dream of going on our UK holiday without our canine friends, and if you're like us, you'll be delighted to know that The Granary and Barns welcome well behaved dogs. So pack that doggie suitcase and don't forget your walking boots because this area is fantastic for getting out and about in the glorious Somerset countryside with your pet pooch! With the Quantocks right on the doorstep you could do a walk a day in those hills - climb up to Hurley Beacon to admire the views, walk the ridge from Lydeard Hill to Staple Plain, venture up to Cothelstone Hill, or amble up Holford Combe; just a few minutes from The Granary and Barns is the village of Nether Stowey where you and your furry friend can walk in the footsteps of the famous romantic poets, Wordsworth and Coleridge, and muse among the hills - then head back to the Ancient Mariner for refreshments. Take your pet to the beach where he can run on the sands if you go further along the North Somerst coast to Berrow; or he can help you find fossils on Kilve beach, maybe stroll over the cliffs to East Quantoxhead and back for a cream tea. That tail just won't stop wagging!
