If you fancy some good old fashioned seaside fun, head for Minehead, Watchet or Blue Anchor on the North Devon coast, or perhaps you'd prefer to go rockpooling or fossil hunting on the famous Jurassic coast, which is only about 40 minutes drive away. Take a ride on a steam train on the West Somerset Railway, or soak up some history at Dunster Castle, Montacute House, or Barrington Court (all NT); climb to the top of Glastonbury Tor and admire the views out across the Somerset Levels, soak up the glorious splendour of Wells Catherdral, The Bishops Palace and Vicar's Close in the pretty town of Wells. Endless opportunities to get to know this gorgeous part of the West Country!
