ACCESS STATEMENT - FOXHILL LODGE

Foxhill Lodge is a modern barn conversion completed to a high standard in 2016. Set on the Somerset/Devon border on a working farm amidst the beautiful Blackdown Hills, the property has an outdoor heated pool and patio for blissful relaxation, with sun loungers and a gas BBQ.  There is plenty of parking and coded electric entrance gates.

Pre arrival: Bookings can be made online (please see our gallery of photographs). You will be emailed directions, key codes and information before your arrival. 

Buses:  The nearest bus stations are Taunton (15 miles) or Exeter (18 miles)

Trains: The nearest rail stations are Tiverton Parkway (10 miles) or Taunton (15 miles)

Groceries: Online shopping can be delivered by Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda and Waitrose.

Arrival and Parking: From the road there are electric gates accessed by the code sent in your arrival information. There is a gravel driveway with parking for 4 cars.

The property is entered at ground level, into a light and airy entrance hall with oak flooring in the living areas and luxury-carpeted bedrooms. Off the hall is the first master bedroom with ensuite shower room, with two 3ft single beds which can be zipped together to make a kingsize bed. This room has a flat screen full HD smart TV, fitted wardrobe and dressing table.

Also off the hall is a snug / games room with a modern sofa and 55 inch smart full HD flat screen TV.

At the far end of the hall is the large open plan kitchen/dining room with a central island, having a small breakfast bar to one end. The kitchen is very well equipped with 4 built in ovens, extra large 6 ring ceramic hob, American style fridge freezer, dishwasher, 2 wine coolers, microwave and a dining table which comfortably seats 8 people. The dining area boasts a 55 inch smart flat screen TV.

Off the kitchen is the downstairs WC and utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer, built in cupboards, and stable door leading out to the courtyard.

The first floor is reached via a modern oak and glass staircase with a stunning open glass viewing area. The light and airy  feel is continued on the first with high ceilings, skylight windows and spot lighting.

On this floor is the spacious living room with 55-inch smart, full HD flat screen TV and sumptuous sofas, and far reaching views of the garden and pool, and the countryside beyond. Floor to ceiling doors lead out onto a balcony, which has access down to the garden with flowing fountain and ornamental pond, and to the pool.

Off the living room are 3 bedrooms;the second master bedroom has a kingsize bed and an ensuite shower room, built in wardrobes and a door leading to a Juliette balcony with far reaching views of the Blackdown Hills.

Bedrooms 3 and 4 are at the far end of the lounge, through a contemporary hall. Both rooms share a modern luxury tiled bathroom with overhead power shower.

One of these bedrooms has a kingsize bed, and access on to the balcony, with steps down to the garden and pool area (perfect for that early morning dip). The room also has a 42-inch flat screen TV, built in wardrobe and dressing table.

The second room can be a twin or king room, and enjoys views over the pretty mews courtyard.  The room has a 42 inch flat screen smart full HD TV,contemporary built in wardrobe and dressing table.

There is an outdoor heated pool measuring 16ft x 32ft, as well as a veranda, barbeque and patio area with seating and outdoor table tennis. The pool is shared with the property owners and is available for use from 1st May – 30th September. 

There is also children’s play equipment with  a slide and swings on the grass area near the pool.
