At Sleeps12 we appreciate that you might want to bring your dog on holiday with you, and the good news is that Cockercombe is one of our dog friendly properties. With it's fantastic location at the foot of the Quantock Hills, there are ample opportunities for some great dog walks in the beautiful surrounding countryside. You can explore footpaths and fields right from your doorstep, or venture up into the hills and walk to the 2ft high bronze age Triscombe Stone, or the iron age fort of Cockercombe Castle. There are many forest tracks to follow, and ridges to walk along, taking in some amazing far reaching views. If your pet likes a splash in the sea, there are several dog friendly beaches on the North Somerset coast with Brean, Berrow, Sand Bay and Kilve not subject to seasonal restrictions (as per latest information). If you want a good day out with your furry friend Exmoor National Park or the Somerset Levels offer miles and miles of diverse and stunning countryside for you and your pooch to wander, before heading back to base for a game of ball in the garden, and a good night's sleep for all.
